George's Greek Cuisine

Burbank is a wasteland for good food. Full of chains and mediocre taco stands it's especially nice to have a good Greek place (if a bit pricey) near the airport and Yahoo. You won't find parking from 12pm-1:30pm since that's the food rush and all that's in that lot is food. My girlfriend raves about their fish options and salad. I like the gyro and hummus. I also like that I can get fresh baklava. more

We went with a big group, small kids, etc. The group order by its nature was chaotic. So I paid the bill and reconciled at the table with my guests. I found several items were over-counted. Two of my guests said they knew of others who had a similar problem when a certain person handled the charges. I was offered to reimburse my card. But I was scared to give my card again. So we simply used the credit. I will be getting a new card number. Unfortunately this practice appears to be common at small owner operated restaurants across the states and I have caught it too late in the past. This time I was wiser. I will be more vigilant in group orders going forward at small businesses. Food tasted great. Rice was not basmati. Meat quality was good. Service was good other than the charge issue.
