My wife and I had about $150 on our health savings account that we needed to spend by or on the 15th or it would expire, my wife had recently had an exam and x-ray done by a different dentist office (who left our network) that showed she needed some dental work. I called Gentle Dental and explained the situation and they said they could get her in on the 15th to use the money we had in our account.
We made the appointment for 9am and I wrote it down and requested off work to watch our kids. She also received a text message confirmation showing the appointment was at 9am a few days prior. The day of they called me at 8:45 and said she was late and the appointment was for 8:30 and there was now no time to see her. They might be able to do a cleaning (which would be free) but not the dental work to use the money we had in the account. Even after she showed them the text confirmation THEY sent, it didn’t matter to them. Not even a single apology.
I lost time at work and we lost the $150 in our account and I was basically told I was lying about the 9am appointment. Mistakes happen, but professional businesses generally apologize and attempt to make up for them. I’ve never written a review before because I don’t think I’ve ever been treated badly enough to.
