Best Sushi in Town! 1/25/2007

My sister introduced me to Genroku! It is the best sushi I have ever had in this land locked city. I have tried the spicy tuna rolls, salmon, tuna, fatty and ebi; it is always fresh! If you want something different, Genroku has Shabu-shabu, a hot-pot dish. This is absolutely fun to do with a group of friends. So whether it is a night out with friends or a romantic date, you will feel feel at home at Genroku. more

MMMMMMM....sushi. 10/27/2005

This really is Denver's best kept secret for delicious sushi. The food is excellent and the staff is always friendly and accomodating. Their rolls are awesome, especially the Philly roll (try it with avocado!), Rainbow roll and Caterpillar roll. Also try the house salad, the Gyoza and the miso soup. Their portions are so big I always have leftovers and the fish is the freshest I have had in Denver. Sometimes the service can be slow but it's all part of the relaxed ambiance of Genroku. I have never had a bad experience and would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants great sushi at a great price. Pros: Great Food, Friendly Staff, Good Prices Cons: None more

Hidden Gem 10/1/2005

Given it's modest location and outside look, you could easily pass this restaurant up. Don't, its excellent and an outstanding value as well. more

The Best Sushi in Denver! 5/8/2005

Look, I'll be straight to the point. This is the BEST KEPT SECRET in Denver when it comes to sushi. I've been to all the popular places in town that are over hyped and over priced. This is the reincarnation of Genroku that used to be on Colorado Blvd. The new place is bigger with nicer decor. The sushi is fresh and the portion is unbelievable. The thick large slices of fish just drapes over the rice. It's not the hippest most trendy place in town but the food is most authentic in town. I really don't want people to know about this place but I don't want it to go away either. Once you try it, you'll never go anywhere else for sushi and Japanese food. Pros: Best Value, Best Sushi, Not Crowded more

They are back! 9/21/2004

Genroku is BACK! The new restaurant is bigger and prettier than their old location. Once you step inside, you can feel that Gen-san is very serious about his come back. First of all , I'm Japanese and I love sushi. I've been eating Genroku sushi for 12 years now. I highly recommend their sushi for 3 reasons: freshness, portion, and price. Every ingredient is always top quality and portion is very generous. The fish just drapes over the rice when you order "nigiri" style sushi. And the price has always been very reasonable. The kitchen menu is just as good. Tempura is excellent and they also offer authentic Japanese noodles. My favorite is "Tenzaru-soba," a cold noodle dish that you dip in sauce to eat. It comes with a side of assorted tempura. Yum! I've been to almost every Japanese restaurants in Denver and Genroku is still the best. Pros: authentic, reasonable price, nice atmosphere Cons: , service slow at times more
