Be careful, they're not very honest in their pricing. I was quoted for $1500 for a 50FT copper repiping job in the front lawn and initially they refuse to reduce the price at all. However, when I decided to go with RootersOnDemand for $1300, they offered me $1200. I didn't change my mind because RootersOnDemand already started digging and finished the job in one afternoon. If Genmor offered me $1200 at the beginning, I probably would go with them. For the same job one company even quoted me for $4600!!! more

My wife and I are a young couple who bought a fixer upper house in Gilroy. A friend at work recommended Genmor and raved about how efficient and inexpensive they were. My father-in-law has been a contractor for over 30 years and is our personal foreman on our house. \r \r The GM came for the walk through and was extremely nice, professional, and knowledgeable. My father-in-law walked away saying this guy was good and the price we got for ALL new copper pipes (complete re-piping inside and out) and a water heater was incredible. \r \r When they came, all the work was done (perfectly according to my father-in-law) in 1 day!! My father-in-law is now raving about how good these guys are haha. \r \r Every time I had a question, someone at their office helped. They are extremely friendly and are AWESOME at what they do. I recommend at least have them come do an estimate on your project and you can judge for yourself b/c I never do reviews and they were so good, I made them my first. more

Genmor Plumbing is the Repipe Specialist franchisee for my area. I had them re-pipe my house, and am generally satisfied with the results of the plumbing. The building inspector was happy with their work, said that it looked solid, and was done well and according to code. However, there are several cosmetic problems that we were left with.\r \r - Caulking around spigots: they did the worst caulking job on the holes in the siding that they made for spigots that I've ever seen. I will have to remove it and do it all over again. Caulk was just blopped on the top part of the holes, not even smoothed. No caulk on the bottom of the holes at all. \r \r - Holes for spigots: they apparently drilled the holes for the spigots from the inside rather than from the outside. As a result, there are big chunks of the surface of the siding gone around the holes (we have T1-11 siding, a plywood-type siding). Everyone knows that when drilling holes in wood, you drill into the side that you care about the appearance of, rookie mistake. All unnecessary, a result of their emphasizing speed over quality in the cosmetics.\r \r - Sheetrock patching: The person that I had in to texture the sheetrock patches that they did pointed out that they had used 1/2"" thick sheetrock on the ceiling patches instead of 5/8"", which is customary for ceilings. As a result, he had to put on a lot of mud to fill in the extra thickness, which took longer to dry, and cost me more money to match the surrounding ceiling area. The patches were solid, they just took longer to blend in than they would have otherwise.\r \r -Surface plumbing. There were two places where we ended with plumbing on the wall surface. One was in my contract, but I hadn't seen it until they did it (the laundry area of our garage). The other is behind our dishwasher, which I feel is the result, again, of their emphasis on speed rather than planning and thinking about what they were going to do before doing it.
