Entertainment and Dining in one! 8/6/2006

Our dining experience was fantastic! When we arrived our table was ready, however, we waited at the bar for our guests. At the bar I had one of the best amaretto sours I have ever had. It was fantastic. Once we got to the table the entertainment began. A chef comes and cooks the meal right in front of you. He was also very entertaining and had a great since of humor. He also knew when to butt out when we were talking, but when to liven things up when things were slow. The food was great also! My husband is usually afraid to try new dishes, but with encouragement, he tried and LIKED much of the food. The price was a little high, but if you consider the entertainment value and skip a movie....it is a wonderful evening out! more

Fun theme restaurant 4/12/2006

Going to a Japanese Steak House, is all about the experience. It is supposed to be fun and different from your regular, everyday dining experience. Genji's captures that perfectly. When the restaurant first opened, it was hard to get a table, they had waits for multiple hours. Now it is a lot less busy. The food is pretty good too, although it is a little pricey. The only thing I don't like is that bland oniony soup that they serve you with your meal. Every time that we have gone there, the experience has been enjoyable. more

Genji Japanese Steak House 8/6/2005

I loved the food here, but I thought they were a little pricey. They do have a nice parking lot and a great location, being right on the corner of Saginaw and Bay City Rd. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The wait staff is nice and pretty good with refills and napkins or whatever else you need. more
