As other reviewers have noted, the fruit flavors are intense and not very sweet. Pear, blueberry, guava, pineapple, cantaloupe, kiwi, banana, honeydew, and strawberry are typical fruit flavors. The pistachio gelato is incredibly good. There's at least 10 different types of chocolate gelato. Quality of ingredients and preparation are all top notch. For a small cup it around $3.50, but it's actually worth it! Pros: Best gelato in SF by FAR Cons: A bit pricey, but worth it more

great variety and freshness 9/4/2006

This place is amazing and unlike any other ice cream or desert place in the city. The large variety of flavors are not too sweet and sugary... more like fresh and savory. There is anything from a spicy pepper/chocolate and thai coconut to fresh strawberry and blueberry. The prices are cheap and the service is fast and friendly. Don't be afraid to try all of the flavors that excite you, they will let you sample as many as you like. This is a MUST to take a date for a light after dinner treat and stroll through North Beach. Fun Flavors! 7/23/2006

This is a nice place to go after dinner in North Beach. They have very unique flavors such as bazooka bubble gum, coconut, apricot, soy wheat (??) etc. Pretty cheap and can get a few different flavors in one little dish. Is one of my favorites now! Pros: Yummy unique flavors Cons: new and crowded many evenings more
