This is the best Mexican food in town. It might not be authentic Mexican, who knows but...I don't care. The chips are crispy, not stale as in most Mexican places in Salt Lake. It isn't trendy with crap like cilantro in the food. The cheese actually has some flavor (also unlike most other places). They are one of the few places who serve good queso dip. It is a little expensive, but then it is in an expensive area. \r \r The absolute best Mexican food I've found in Utah is Escobar's in Kanab. I wish they would open a restaurant in Salt Lake.\r \r more

Good job 4/9/2012

Wonderful people and wonderful care I had been to a couple different veterinary hospitals around the city prior to finding Columbine Animal Hospital. The staff is amazing. They are very kind, and truly care about the well being of your pet. They do not push anything on you that you do not want, and offer great advice for all of your animal needs. more

Gluten-Free Eating Out at it's Best 1/27/2011

We just went there tonight and ate and it was absolutely fantastic. They were very accommodating and aware of our gluten-free diet needs and most of the menu was made available to us substituting corn tortillas in place of wheat tortillas. The waitress new exactly what menu items we could not have and was very helpful to make sure we got gluten-free food. I savored every bite of the delicious food. My husband and I were in hog heaven. We Thanks so much for letting us know about this wonderful restaurant. more

Geckos Mexican Grill is THE BEST!!! 11/22/2010

My wife & I visited Geckos last Saturday night and had a GREAT time! Our waitress, Megan, made it so much fun. The food was excellent and LOTS of it! The prices were very reasonable. I strongly recommend the restaurant for anyone who likes mexican food in a great atmosphere. And if you get Megan as your waitress, you will have an unforgettable experience. more

Geckos is GREAT for Large (20+) groups or small. Their servers are well trained and FRIENDLY. The food TASTES WONDERFUL, and the PORTION SIZES are great. We love Gecko's! My husband, teenagers, and I have been clients of Gecko's since they opened. We love the peaceful atmosphere and the freshly made food. All of the food is made fresh daily... even the salsa. My only complaint about the place is that the refried beans are kinda bland. The staff is friendly, service is quick, food is good, and the price is perfect. This is a great place to chat, relax, and enjoy the food. Pros: Food is great, atmosphere is peaceful & friendly. Cons: Bland refried beans. more

An Excellent Family-Friendly Restaurant 9/26/2008

Don't go here if you're looking for a noisy, over-priced cookie cutter restaurant. I also wouldn't recommend Gecko's if you're out to impress a date. However, if you are looking for somewhere to relax, eat a good meal with your wife and/or family, this is the kind of place you're looking for. Pros: Great food for the price. Cons: n/a more
