They've been working with me for around eight years since I bought that house. We have two men who come weekly, check out the property, and take care of anything that needs to be taken care of. If I call with an issue, they return the call promptly and have someone come back out and fix it. Valerie, who does design, is excellent and a pleasure to work with. When we bought the house we were told they had done the original landscaping, so that's why I contacted them in the first place. more

Valerie helped me design a replacement garden because we had a demolition. She helped with the plant selection and design for installation. Geared For Growing is kind of a one-stop shop. They do the designing, demolition, installation, and maintenance. They know plants very well. more

I think Geared for Growing is wonderful. They came in and did everything while we were at work. They were very professional, and nice, and always cleaned up after the day's work was done. Our designer, Austin was terrific in helping us design the backyard with in our budget. We will be using them again to do our front yard. more

On the whole this was a good experience. In fact we hired GG to do additional work and maintain the property. I was especially pleased, not being a full time resident at the property that the project was completed in a timely manner with a minimum of disruption. Geared For Growing has done pretty well. Years ago, they did a major landscape redesign for us and a smaller on in between. My husband and I had to replace a plant, which was a minor disappointment. We've been using them for maintenance and they've done a good job. They are relatively expensive, but they do good work and have given us good advice. more

We worked with Austin at Geared for Growing to design a fire pit area in our backyard that was functional and looked nice with the rest of the yard. Artisans came and cut the bluestone on site for the pad and for the pit itself. Austin came by for quality check, decided he didn't like the way the top was looking, and had it remade to be perfect. He also coordinated with our electrician to make this a very easy quick and pretty job. Thank you! Would definitely use Austin and Geared for Growing again! more

Richard and his team did an excellent job of landscaping our yard. The design of the landscaping complimented the yard and the plant selection was excellent. Valerie led the design effort and Rene and his team made it a reality. The stone wall construction was just as promised and looks great. The large rock selection and placement blend in well with the rest of the yard. The work was done in an organized manner with clean up done every day. The billing was detailed, correct and provided no surprises. Richard stopped by throughout the work to check up on things and there was good communication with the whole team throughout the process. They also reworked some of the existing landscaping and had good suggestions on recommended changes and plant selections. Valerie also took time to research why some of the existing plants were underperforming and provided some recommendations to rectify the problem. Geared for Growing designed and installed an entirely new backyard for me. The end result is a beautiful, serene space that is great for entertaining. Geared For Growing has been excellent. First of all, they did a great job, as far as I was concerned, on the design. We did away with the grass in the front area of the house and put in landscaping with perennial plants, and I liked the design. When we did have some questions about particular plants, they were very, very responsive, and they changed out a couple of things to help us ward off an attack of gophers. They have just been really helpful, so much so that I have them come back several times a year to do basic pruning and upkeep. more

Every time I used to sit on my deck, I would get tired - thinking of all of the projects I had to get done. Where to start? What to do? Geared for Growing came to our house and helped me formulate my ideas into a plan. They then skillfully executed the plan!
