Awesome care!!! 11/14/2016

I recently adopted a kitten from the animal shelter that had a respiratory infection and the services I received for her were quick and precise!!! My kitten Lilly is now thriving!! I also adopted a German shorthair pointer puppy and received the same quick and precise service. All vet care is expensive and this is known prior to adopting or having a pet. I highly recommend their services!! more

Dr. Milazo is the BEST Vet & his staff is AWESOME! 1/21/2011

I would recommend this clinic/hospital to anyone. Dr. Milazo is a very kind man who try's his best to help in any way he can. I think some people expect him to perform the works of GOD and for no money. I can't believe some of these negative reviews. I am blessed to have him as my vet! He went above and beyond to help me and my poor sick Hibachi, whom I am taking home today after what seemed would be his end. Thanks to Dr. Milazo and Dr.Blust I am able to be with my baby for a little while longer and help him thru his sickness. I don't know what I would have done without this clinic. Don't be so quick to judge this clinic on these negative reviews! They are an A plus in my book! I am forever grateful to Dr. Milazo. My husband and I just love him! My animals will always go to this clinic! I can't think of another clinic that ever treated us in such a caring manner! If your thinking of going here, go in, meet them and decide for yourself! Nothing short of fabulous 10/30/2010

People like to complain - not so keen on compliment. It's a shame that people are really eager to write a negative review when service has been off - but not so much when service has been good because reading these reviews might put you off of a fantastic vet. We have a HERD of pets. Lots of them and each of them have their own bizarre personality and we've had more than our fair share of tough requests and needs for our furry kids. Dr Blust and his staff are stellar - they're quick to accommodate and eager to make sure our pets are happy and healthy. The staff at Gause Blvd Vet are actually ANIMAL LOVERS - you can tell by their interactions and the time they spend with your pets. The front desk staff is knowledgeable and when they're not sure of something, they're quick to research and get back to you. ALWAYS friendly and understanding I actually don't mind calling in and asking for help. The nursing and support staff is compassionate, professional and FAST. This is a well oiled team and they know exactly what they're doing. Unfortunately, I can only speak about Dr Blust, but we've found him not only competent but very good with all the varieties of our animals. He was even quick and honest with a referral to another vet (not affiliated with this clinic) when a situation arose that he felt was beyond his personal experience. It says a lot about a doctor when they're able to set aside their own ego and say "Go see this other guy, he's specializes in this". Honesty is as important as skill and this guy has both. Do not hesitate to do business with this team - there's a reason they've got the largest patient base in the area, they're the best. more

Poor review above 2/11/2009

The Lynette from above forgot to mention that she was also a disgruntled employee that Dr. Milazo fired because she was too lazy to work. Aside from that distemper and colds show similar symptoms correct? Dr. M was taught to treat symptoms and not to run countless tests. He runs more on instinct than tests unlike modern doctors who slap blood in a tube and wait for numbers. And yes he does get money out of people. Get me wrong but isn't that what our entire economy is based off of....capitalism which is making money. He's not there to give people free veterinary services. I'm going to school to be a vet and after I bust my @$$ for 8+ years I'll be darned if I'm gonna give people free vet bills on a regular basis. As for the expensive part. Hes trying to run a massive vet hospital that is spotless. I have never gone in there to buy something and smelled urine which is frequently the case in many other vet hospitals that are run out of remodeled old houses. All I can say is that you get what you pay for. I'd trust this man with my life as well as my dog's. more

Sad that money comes before Caring........ 7/16/2005

Avoid the head Dr. In my opinion, he only cares about how much money he can get out of a person. And he doesn't diagnosis the animal's problem properly. Such as when I brought my puppy in to his office cause he was sick and too young yet to get his shots, "the head" claimed he had a cold and charged me over $100 for medicine. The dog didn't get better the second time I brought him in and he gave the puppy his shots and said it still a cold. The puppy had a seizure and I brought him to another vet and he IMMEDIATELY diagnosed the puppy as having distemper and the puppy had to be put to sleep. Had a proper diagnosis been given in the beginning the puppy might have lived. Even having been a client of his this one time I heard him talk about his other clients when he didnt know I was present and he referred to them according to how much he could get out of them. I dont believe he has a regard for the animal's life. He seems to be more concerned with how much he can make than whether he can save the animal or help it. more
