When we booked our cruise, we were tempted by their debarkation tours offering air boat rides in the Everglades. However, the cruise excursions were set up for people flying home ...

I think anyone going to Miami should do this 8/23/2010

I was picked up from my hotel at 9.30pm and dropped back at 1.00am. As you drive to Gator Park, the driver tells you about all of the points of interest you pass. Then when you get there you can go and have a look around for 15 minutes, before going on an airboat through the Everglades. I saw 4 Alligators and the airboat was so fun. Then we went to a show, where a guy named Sam talked about Alligators. The did crazy things with the live alligators. I won't spoil the suprise but I would have to say that everyone should do it, as it only takes half a day.? more

Highlight of my trip! 8/19/2010

This was truly the highlight of my trip to Miami. We signed up through Safari Tours. We were picked up bright and early in front of our hotel and taken directly to and from Gator Park. The everglades were absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect The staff was friendly and the air boat was was the most fun I've had in a long time. It was like a real life Disneyland Jungle cruise. It was so peaceful on the water, and it was shocking to see soooo many alligators. I loved whipping across the water at 30 mph speeding through the everglades. I'm not much of an outdoor person so I felt very adventurous on the air boat. In addition to the gators, there was a huge variety of birds. A peacock was walking around outside the gift shop, it was so beautiful. After the air boat ride, the alligator show was a blast. Our tour guide wrestled a HUGE alligator! He also brought a cute tiny baby right up to the audience. At the end of the show we got a chance to hold a fairly large alligator. To top it off I had some gator nuggets.... although I couldn't finish them because I kept thinking about all of the cute baby alligators I just saw. Beware of the bugs.... I lathered up in bug repellent and I didn't get one bite. more

I highly recommend Gator Park to any Florida tourists 8/5/2010

it was a choice between Gator Park and Coopertown. We chose to go to Gator Park because it was a little bit cheaper plus it had a little show at the end. We got to see a bunch of gators, turtles, lizards, and birds at the Everglades. And you get to actually hold a jr size gator at the show. The tour guides are hilarious and so entertaining. I highly recommend Gator Park to any Florida tourists. more

1000 things to do before you die? 7/30/2010

1000 things to do before you die? An airboat ride in the Everglades (or adjacent) has to be on it for the "Flipper" generation. The folks down here at Gator Park strike just the right chord of hokiness, education, professionalism, and a personable small-time operation. Buy the bug spray, or bring your own, and be sure to print the on-line coupons for 2fers AM weekdays (morning is best anyway), gator meat, and free gator feet and teeth.? more

Exciting adventure 7/29/2010

Gator Park tour goes like this... more

Thoroughly recommended to anyone 7/26/2010

Saw only a few gators as it is apparently 'mating season' but the overall airboat tour was excellent! Followed by an alligator wrestling show, value for money was better than just paying 4 an airboat tour! Thorougly recommended to anyone interested in exploring the Everglades for about 35mins, although there are longer packages available at an extra cost... more

Never seen so many tame gators 7/22/2010

It was a fun trip and the staff was friendly. The trip was short over the Everglades, but it was informative. The tour guide slowed down at times so everyone could stand up and check out the wildlife. more

Gator Park is FUN!!! 7/20/2010

I really liked the airboat tour of the swamps and seeing the alligators, iguana, turtles and birds in a natural habitat. more

Fun and entertaining! 7/7/2010

So we got to the Gator Park at like 9:15 because they opened at 9 and we wanted to get on the first boat out so the water would be less disrupted. Once we picked up the tickets that we bought online, we were told that the first boat doesn't go out until 10, so we had to sit around and wait for 45 mins. That put us in a bad mood for the place, but more people came and we started the tour. We saw a lot of wild life, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and we read reveiws before we went, and everyone was saying how they were begging for tips. The guide we had mentioned it only once that tips were appreciated, that was it. Then after the air boat ride, we went to the gator show, which was also informative and the tour guide for that part was interesting and funny, and only mentioned about tips being appreciated once at the end as well. We watched a real gator wrestling, and were able to touch and hold a gator. Overall, it was a great experience. We started out unsure based on what we read, but overall it was good. I don't know what some of these people expect for $20 in the Everglades. It took us a full hour, and we enjoyed it. more
