I would definatly stay again 8/3/2011

I found the staff to be very nice and my room was nice and clean. We stayed in room number one and the bed was very comfy. I would definatly stay again, I also ate at the restraunt, again, prices were elevated by a couple of bucks, yet my burger was tasty, fesh and hit the spot, after a long day this establishment met my needs. I will say no cell phone service but the staff were more than accomodating in letting us use thier house phone. more

The service was friendly and good, albeit somewhat less formal and attentive than the service one might find at some other restaurants with similar prices. Still, the food was good (trout almondine and prime rib), the night beautiful, and the ambiance---due to the secluded, candlelit deck and the sounds of the river---was just right. We thoroughly enjoyed it. more

Beautiful setting 7/19/2011

The location is amazing. The river is ten feet away, and you could throw your food into it for some fish if you wanted. Beautiful setting. The view is so nice that I would probably go back. more

A historical feel to it 7/8/2011

After stating we wanted to dine inside, we were seated in the front window. The view of the Kaweah River makes the restaurant. The restaurant has a historical feel to it. more

Beer battered onion rings were the best 5/19/2011

We drove up to this place and was WOWED the whole time from the SUPER FREINDLY staff . To the INCREDIBLE view ON THE RIVER to the wonderful steak my woman had to the awesome Hamburger that I got. This is our second trip and won't be the last ! Not sure bout the lodging, have never stayed there, but the food and staff were great ! Beer battered onion rings were the best I have had in a long time ! more

Restaurant has great food 5/16/2011

We love going up to the Gateway for a little vacation. We have been going there for about 7 years now and are still just as satisfied it keeps getting better. The restaurant has great food and is right on the creek! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone of my friends, and have! more

GREAT experience each trip!!! 5/15/2011

I love going up to the Gateway for a weekend getaway. I have gone many times and had a GREAT experience each trip. The rooms at the lodge are very nice and the restaurant has great food! I have tried many items of their menu and have always been extremely happy with my meal. The service is exceptional both for the lodging and at the restaurant. The servers and owner are very friendly and willing to do anything to make sure you are happy and satisfied. The view is also amazing! I highly recommend the Gateway Restaurant and Lodge. more

The food is amazing 5/13/2011

I came across the gateway on my travels with my girlfriend and ended up staying there for three days. The food is amazing and most of all the family there were so welcoming and nice they made us feel like we was part of their family. The location is so beautiful and peacefull and the service is amazing. I would recommend anyone to go a visit and a lot of my friends have and had the same experience. more
