Fly your kite of ride your bike around the park. Tons of achors of fun for the family. I enjoyed the old structures as there are tons of them. My high school use to throw keg parties there because it was secluded and not many cops were around. If you climb to the top of the hill you get a great view of Union Bay. You can also watch sea planes land and take off. Great for picnics too by the way. more

Great Park, bring your camera 8/20/2005

Gasworks park used to be an old refinery of some sort- and though it's been closed down, cleaned up(some what) and turned into a park, large hunks of rusted machinery are still visable. Don't worry, they're behind fences. The stark contrast between brilliant green and rust red is perfect. Also, a great vantage point to view the city from and right on the water. The sunsets are breath taking. more
