I would rate him zero stars if that were possible. He knows absolutely nothing, does not try to help, and is rude and arrogant on top of everything. First, I was told that the over the counter drugs I was taking was all that could be done for me. When I pushed him because I was in sever pain daily despite being taking tums nearly every half hour and prevacid and nexium daily, he gave me a variety of different drugs and pain pills, which only mad me sicker. \r \r Eventually, I persuaded him to do an endoscopy; as a result, I was told that I had severe gastronomy and bleeding ulcers. When I inquired as to possible courses of treatment he claimed that nothing could be done, it was all due to stress and that if I stayed positive, the conditions would heal themselves. Needless to say, this was could not be further from the truth. I\r \r remained in severe pain for years until finally finding a better doctor who was actually willing to help. If that was not enough, he refused to give my new doctor my medical records, claiming I never was a patient, I had to get a hold of his billing clerk personally, who finally released the records claiming it was a ""system error.""\r \r I would not wish this doctor upon my worst enemy. Waste of thousands of dollars, but more importantly left me in pain. more

I am not a member of his staff and am truly a patient. Dr. K is the only doctor that has addressed my issues and have recommended him to many others with gastrointestinal problems. I could write a very long list of other gastrointestinal doctors that I saw and was disgusted with the lack of attention and knowledge. Dr. K is the most knowledgeable and has been the only doctor that has explained my condition and prevented me from worrying about what it could be. I am sorry about the other reviews, but I can't control the attitude of others or their experience. more

I know different people have differing experiences and perceptions, and I also know that your state of health, body and mind have a lot to do with what we experience. Having said that I can only rave about Dr. K, without him I do not know what my quality of life would be. I was sick for 7 years and went to over 60 specialists in that time on both the east coast and west coast, not a single one of them could tell me why I weighed 70lbs, couldn't eat without being in God-awful pain and then spending hours and hours in the bathroom. In the course of trying to get a diagnosis I met the MOST HORRIBLE doctors that misdiagnosed me with everything you can imagine including telling me that it was all in my head. When I stumbled on Dr. K by mistake my life became infinitely better. He listened to me, he was so compassionate and understanding of all that I had been put through and he immediately scheduled a colonoscopy and endoscopy and within 1 week of meeting him I finally knew what was happening to me. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, and he started treatment right away, within a few weeks I was feeling so much stronger, I was able to eat without spending hours in the bathroom afterwards and I was able to resume a normal life. He has now been my doctor for 10 years and I wouldn't dream of letting another GI touch me. This man literally saved my life and I would recommend him to anyone that has any sort of intestinal problems because he will work with you to find a diagnosis and give you back your quality of life. more

I literally created an account just to tell people to stay as far away from this man as possible. His practice is shady, his staff incompetent, and he makes it painfully obvious that his only concern is money and free lunches from pharmaceutical reps. Whoever is posting these 5 star reviews are either part of his staff or confused people who thought they were reviewing another doctor. He will see you for about 3 minutes, order a colonscopy immediately, along with stool samples, an endoscopy and any other test he can come up with. He'll NEVER call you with test results. He ignores the pain your going through, and if by some miracle of god you get through, his only concern is getting you on the most expensive drugs possible. F this guy. There is a special place in hell for people like this. Having incredible stomach pain for months is bad enough without having a doctor do everything in his power to rip you off the whole time. PLAY IT SAFE - SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR!!! Your wallet, insurance company and stomach will thank you! more

One of the Best. Great training and very personable put me at ease and when he diagnosed and treated my condition quickly accurately and effectively I knew I was dealing with a great doctor. Came in as a new patient last week because I had heard positive things about him as a Dr. His exam was thorough and I found him very caring. THEN..... it came time for the needle I literally felt like I was a pin cushion!! It took his nurse 3 TIMES to find my vein!! Which has NEVER happened before!!!! I literally could not bend my arm for a week!! This will never happen to me again. Has to be the best GI doc in town. Nobody could figure out my intestinal ailments until he diagnosed my ""irritable bowel"" as bacterial overgrowth with a breath test in his office. Dr. K has been very helpful. My symptoms were anything but simple or typical but with thorough tests and patience he was able to find what was wrong and treated me successfully. I have been to other doctors before and i can definitely say that he is the best gastroenterologist in West L.A.! more
