Gastonia Farmers Market 9/28/2005

Gastonia Farmers Market is located at 400 Long Avenue, near the court house and the police station. They are indoors, so that is a plus. They have fresh produce, of course, as well as arts and crafts, and fresh baked goods. They are open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with Saturday being the bes day to go. During the week, merchants are few. I like going there for my produce, as it is indeed and fresh and the prices are just right. I like the unique idea of having arts and crafts there as well. more

Local Crafts and Home Grown Veggies 7/24/2005

There's nothing better than finding the perfect produce. You can find that at the farmers market. It's and indoor facility now, located near the new police headquarters and court house. It's somewhat hit and miss though. They're only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Fresh vegetables, homemade crafts and baked goods for prices that you can't find in the stores. I was somewhat disappointed the last time I was few times I've been because there weren't that many merchants. There were maybe 8 merchants at the most and they didn't have a lot to offer. That's why I say it's hit and miss. Saturday is the best day to go in my opinion. more
