Caution when purchasing a gift certificate for someone. The restaurant won’t honor them. Insane yes, but true. \r \r At a recent visit to Gaspare's, I tried to use a $50 gift certificate, and both the waitress and the owner wouldn’t accept it. After an argument with the owner, that he received money for the certificate, he gave me a $25 credit and made me pay the difference of my dinner. There was no expiration dates either on the certificates. \r \r In my opinion Gaspare’s stole $25 from my friend who was gracious enough to purchase me dinner. \r more

I have been going here for years. The 5/27/2012

I have been going here for years. The food is always great and they give you huge portions. They will make any combination of pasta/sauce you desire and the menu is larger then most diners. Great Italian Food. more

Gaspare's in Bargaintown is the BEST! 9/27/2010

This little place might seem like a hole in the wall, but they have been the best italian restaurant since I was a little kid, well over 20 yrs now. They are well worth the trip to Bargaintown, or even for take-out. Their prices are very reasonable, with lots of daily specials. The cooks will gladly prepare a customized dish for you (I was looking for what they used to offer as ""Fettucini Empress"" which isn't on the menu any longer, but I described the ingredients and they were happy to oblige:) more
