This place has really great costumes for whatever occasion, especially Halloween costumes and pretty good prices too. I really liked their renaissance style selections! Dressing rooms are really neat and retro. more

This is a great place to go if you need to rent a costume for a party, school or Halloween. They charge you by the piece and the prices are not bad. There is a large selection and all different sizes. Maybe you already have pieces to an outfit and just need to add to it. We used this place for a 50's B-day party and it was a 70's theme. We had great authentic outfits. more

I love this shop. Its not a store or a thrift shop. Its a costume shop. Give the owner a couple of key words toward what your over all goal is, then stand back while she creates her magic. Went years ago, then last year took my neice looking for ""The great gatsby"" theme. My daughter and I left this morning with every thing we need for the roaring 20's. Reading these few bad reviews has disgusted me. Gasoline Alley not only provides unique costumes, they are the nicest people. Sometimes, when they aren't busy, I feel like I get my own personal shopper. Donna, yes I know the owner by name, and the rest of the girls are always great. They also provide affordable prices too. They have tons of quality vintage tees and, well, everything from lunchboxes and records. Some of the stuff is kinda pricey, but it's so much darn fun to see it again more

Rude employees! Torn and dirty costumes. Dirty store. They don't listen, either. Bright and chipper on the phone when I called ahead, but terrible in person. Went to rent, and asked for Octoberfest costume ""in traditional style--not short."" The first one the shop assistant handed me was a tiny miniskirt with low neckline. The others she gave me were all approx. sizes 2-6 (I'm size 8, age 50). Several had tears or huge rips, with frayed pieces of fabric or trim hanging off. The dressing room was so dirty that I kept my shoes on, so as not to step on the floor. I came out and asked for others to try on. The girl helping me seemed impatient, and asked another girl to help me. That young lady handed me one that was FILTHY (streaks of dirt, and bright line of pink ink or lipstick across the right front of the white blouse) and when I pointed this out to her, she argued that it was not dirty! When I was startled and politely questioned this, she said, ""Well, some of them fall on the floor for a while."" I handed the dirt-streaked one back to her, thanked her and said I would try another shop, as my event was that evening. She said in a snippy voice, ""Well, I guess you should have started looking sooner."" I was stunned. Does she rudely offer unsolicited advice to customers who may be heavy or in a hurry or anything else? Cons: rude employees, dirty and torn costumes more

This shop is very popular with Orange residents. It's where a lot of local parents go for our themed school events - gold rush and colonial days.. Woman owned business! Over the years i have rented so many costumes that are unique and not out of the bag. Owner has always been so wonderful and has helped me each time. The store is busy all year and they give help to each person. I am shocked that anyone could write a bad review. This is a owner opperated business and she has for many many years! Okay. I actually haven't been here yet, but...I have phoned twice inquiring about their costumes. And, if a phone conversation is any indication of how they run their business, my guess is I won't be diappointed. I talked to the same person each time I phoned. And I can tell you that her 'on phone' representation of Gasoline Alley is everything I would want if I owned such a business. Very, very pleasant, courteous, and she just sounded so happy to help me with my inquires and questions. I truly can't wait to do business with this establishment. I already know I won't be disappointed! more
