Pleasant inn near Bard 12/24/2008

I stayed at the Gaslight Inn for two nights while participating in a workshop at Bard College's Institute for Writing & Thinking. The owner was cordial over the phone when I made the reservation. The room was clean, well-equipped and quiet, with lovely views of the rural landscape. more

Beware of nasty owner 8/26/2008

I called to reserve a room and was told that in September, there is a two night minimum. The woman went on a rant about how ""I'm sick and tired of people asking why we have a two night minimum..."" which I did not, in fact, question! Well guess what, if you're not happy being in a service industry, try another occupation. I easily found another place! more
