I took my Grand Am to Gary (the owner) at Auto Technician. His shop provides fleet service to my shop's work vehicles, so this is how I heard of his shop. (Originally, I had taken my car to Pep Boys in Everett to spend $173 on a diagnosis that told me NOTHING.) Even worse, I still had a car that I couldn't drive.\r

I found myself having to deal with the car problems right before I went on my nine-day long vacation. Gary took my car in and kept it at his shop while I was on vacation. He displayed the confidence that I was hoping for in a mechanic that my car was ""fixable"" and that it wouldn't leave me in the poor house to get it back up and running.\r

Gary not only found the source of my car's problem, but did the repairs for a reasonable price. He kept me appraised of his work via cell phone correspondence. He also didn't do any repairs on my car until he received authorization to do so. Gary quoted us a price to do the repairs on my car, which to my suprise, was very reasonable. His workmanship was great! Gary was also very up front and honest. I appreciated that he wasn't trying to ""upsell"" (I hate that!!) on further work. I was able to pick up my vehicle after I got back from vacation and haven't had a problem with it since.\r

It was well worth the drive from my home in Smokey Point/Marysville down to his Seattle shop. I would gladly do it again, although I hope I won't have to any time in the nearer future. Thanks again, Gary!
Pros: Great service, high quality of care and workmanship, honest
Cons: I can't think of any
