very good 11/11/2017

WE have had this company for years. installed our 2nd unit this spring. Always professional, polite and knowledgeable. We signed up for the 6 month maintenance on our unit and was informed about a product to help reduce allergens in our home. I checked it out online and with my husband and 94 yr old father with bad allergies we decided to have it installed. . Will see how it works over time. Just got it installed a day ago. more

Loyal for Years! 2/17/2011

We've used Garrison and Garrison for years (as long as we've lived in Madison). We actually have their maintenance plan on our systems, so we see them a few times a year. Each time we call, we are treated like the most important customer they have. Their technicians are always really honest about repairs (if any) that need to be done, and their price book keeps me from wondering if I'm getting a fair price. I wouldn't trust anyone else. more

Great Company 2/16/2011

My wife and I built our home a little less than a year ago. It was our first time to build and after speaking with a few different heating and cooling companies, we decided to go with Garrison & Garrison. Plainly speaking, we made the right decision. They were very professional, on time and informative when trying to decide which unit to go with. Our utility bills are lower than we expected and we couldn't be happier with the job Garrison & Garrison did for us. I would use them again if we built a second time and I would refer them to my friends and family. more

You get what you pay for 2/15/2011

After doing my research on replacing my HVAC system and ductwork, decided to go with G&G. I asked them to quote HVAC system and new duct. They inspected my ductwork and showed me that I did not need to spend the extra money to replace the duct. "inside the duct was in excellent shape". I got an honest suggestion to keep my duct work and an honest suggestion of pro/con of which units were avail for me. They provided me with all of the info in honesty and allowed me to make and educated choice. My unit was swapped out within one day, very professional installation, including new support box, extra electrical outlet ran with sump pump installed to eliminate the drip line that was previously there, and custom drip pan (just to be safe). The extras were not included in my bill. Very satisfied with the appearance of air handler and how it was installed in my basement/garage. Nothing was "half way done", they took the extra steps that I didn't think to ask for. more

Another Review of Garrison and Garrison 12/12/2006

I experienced some problems with my furnace on a Sunday evening. I called Garrison & Garrison the following Monday morning to schedule a service call. A technician came out Monday afternoon and examined the unit. After examining the unit he concluded that I needed a new furnace/air unit and recommended some alternatives ranging from $3500 to $3900. I paid the $44 service call and slept on it. The next day, I contacted another contractor for a second opinion. The second contractor examined the unit in more detail and found a bad electrical connection. I paid a $55 service call and ended up with a working furnace. You be the judge. more

Review of Garrison & Garrison 4/15/2006

Recently, we were told that the compressor on our A/C unit had gone out. The unit is fairly new, but it was installed by the previous homeowners. It is a Trane, so my husband called Trane and they recommended Garrison and Garrison for our problem. They did agree to do the compressor replacement as a warranty job, which saved us a lot of money. So, I was pleased with that aspect of it. They also didn't charge me for an additional service call (once to confirm it was the compressor, the second to come and install it). Though we only paid $543, a full price replacement would have been $1800 and I would have gone with another company. I'm not sure if I can fully recommend these guys or not. The technician that came out was more than a bit condescending to me. They did do the work quickly and professionally, though. more
