This place is simple and has the best pizza I've had in Austin. Had to admit I was apprehensive at first. Just another pizza place. However, it's my kind of place. They don't spend their time on the decor. It's not in a fancy new shopping complex. But, the food is great. You know you found a good place when the kiddos ask to go to Garlick Joes when asked where they want to go to eat. We've had several things on the menu besides the pizza and haven't found anything we didn't like. Even the salads were great. The chicken was pulled from the breast for the spinach and chicken salad. This was a bit shocking giving it's a pizza place. My favorites are the Cheesesteak Stromboli, any pizza with Italian sausage (the sausage rocks), the fettucini alfredo and the regular cheesesteak sandwich. To top it off, you can grab a can (or a 6-pack) of beer to drink there or to-go. They also have wine, sodas, etc, but the beer was nice. I tried the Heineken Dark. Never had it before. It was pretty good (I'm more of a craft beer guy and this wasn't bad). All in all, this place is a good place to grab some really good pizza/pasta/sandwich/salad that's not you're typical Subway/Papa Johns and has no frills. Just good food. I highly recommend.
Pros: great food, decent price, beer and wine (to-go), convenient, good service.
