Beauty is only skin deep really applies to this place. Be careful. We had trouble from day 1 when on moving day they tried to put my parent into a lesser unit. We thought it was just a mix up, but with the troubles they continued to have we now suspect otherwise. Care in assisted living is weak..at least for my parent it was. Beware of counting on moving your parent into the skilled care unit, we were warned Garlands would move to quickly disqualify him from Medicare and move him to private pay which they did, less than one month after surgery. We since learned two other instances in the last year they did the same thing. We moved to a different home, not as fancy but much better care. And my parent was able to continue rehab which Garlands was saying he couldn't do. They also change the rules to their benefit with regard to deposits and membership fees.
