I'm sorry but I did not have a good experience working with gari. I found her totally consumed with her fees. In a situation where I wanted to settle in a friendly fashion she pushed to receive a large retainer and insisted on driving out my fears in order to keep the billing going. Her work product was continually being regarded as ""draft"" when final product needed to be delivered. She works on the boarder of unethical practices and needlessly ""adds"" untruthful comments to her filings. This was embarrassing and painfully expensive for me. She has NO knowledge of the US tax system and even went so far as to advise that if you do not earn anything, you can not have a liability. Please, this is just wrong. But all along you pay. She claims she discounts her rate to you from her usual $225/hour to say $195. In fact good lawyers only charge $180. I'm sorry, pick another lawyer. Her assistant was competent and helpful. Gari recently represented me in my divorce and I found her to be very professional, timely, fair, and honest. All the paperwork was done in a timely fashion with no errors. Her paralegal, Lisa, is also great and always answered my questions! They really gave me great advice during the divorce and made the process smooth for me.
