I have visited the Gardens of Babylon garden center next to the Nashville Farmer's Market on numerous occasions and have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have a small back patio with my condo and I wanted to make it a greener space, and they offered great advice about using vertical space so that I could grow more things. I also got a really great set of beautiful pots that will last a long time. Another thing I really appreciate about Gardens of Babylon is that they are really concerned with making what they do green and sustainable. I was able to get mostly organic starts and seeds from them for my patio project, which is really important to me. And if you need a website with gardening advice, you should check theirs out because it is really neat. Pros: VERY helpful and kind staff, Cool website, Good selection more

I've never seen these reply's so heated. I believe there are those like ""integritysimportant"" who want to try and destroy this honest company's reputation for some type of personal enjoyment. I felt I needed to post in support of Gardens of Babylon because I feared what others might think of this company strictly from these reviews. In the spring of 2008, I worked with Mark, the company's landscape supervisor. He helped walk me through the proper steps of having some landscaping done around the back patio of my home. I was encouraged to set a budget that I was comfortable with and was told that their designer would combine my vision with my budget. I also asked their designer, Jean, to also design other areas in the back. Even though it was not in my budget to install these items, I agreed with Mark that it might be something I could do in phases for the future. After we agreed to price and what I was getting for my money, work began in a very efficient manner. Installation took about a week from start to finish. Everything has done well since being planted, although there were a few items that I thought were ""iffy"". Mark was nice enough to come out and take a look and told me that they were just a little stressed from the summer drought and that our winter should help encourage better root growth. If integrity is important to you then why not show yours and use a real login ID? Maybe because you're full of shi*? This company has the highest level of Integrity of any company I have ever used. They are polite, they are honest, they listened to what I had to say, what I wanted, and designed a yard that I am crazy about. Maybe if the dumba$$ kept adding stuff to the list the price doubled. Every time I added a request to my design they informed me up front of the cost and then left the decision to me. I highly recommend this company. Sorry for the rant. more

We used this company for landscaping and we are paying huge consequences. They never show up on time for meetings. They will design a landscape and double the amount of the original budget you gave them. They smooth talk everything and then speak rudely to you after they have your money and will not return you phone calls. They will make promises about plant warranties, etc and not keep them and make your yard look worse then it did before you did the landscaping, I didn't think this was possible but they did it our house. We have lost thousands upon thousands of dollars, don't make the same mistake. Spread the word! Cons: everything more

Just got back from shopping at Gardens of Babylon. I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful. I'm new to gardening and they were able to give me plenty of gardening ideas and suggestions. I also thought there prices were pretty reasonable given their large selection. Would definetely recommend the nursery to a friend. more
