I absolutely love the atmosphere, the selection, location, and service at The Garden. There should be more stores like this one in Greenpoint. The only setback is prices, but if you live here and don't want to stand in line at Trader Joe's and carry your frozen products melting away on the way to Brooklyn, well you get the point. Greenpoint food shopping utopia 8/1/2002

The Garden seems out of place in Greenpoint. It would fit in better in Manhattan. They have a great selection of produce, meats, cheeses, organic products, and beer. Rather than running all over Manhattan doing my shopping, I just have a short walk from my apartment. While some of the Manhattan shops' selections might be larger, The Garden's is near perfect.
