Garage Door Repair of Bellaire

I've always liked the work Bellaire Shoe Repair does but NOT now. I took two pair of Dansko shoes in and paid $45 for each pair to have them resoled. This was a lot but the shoes were in excellent condition except each heel was wearing down on one side- this after having the shoes probably two years.\r \r After they were resoled by Bellaire Shoe Repair and I wore one pair less than 10 times, the heels are already half as bad as they got in two years before. When I took them back they said I'd have to pay more to have them fixed again. To me this was not good customer service and I won't be back! A good business guarantees there work! more

Awesome work and the original owner is there every day!! 83yrs old and shop has been open for 44yrs!! They must be doing something right!! Was able to walk right in and wait on heel repair and shine and cost was sooo affordable!! Pleasent conversation with owner and ladies at the front!! Highly recommend this place...not another place like it in all of the greater Houston Area!! Pros: Low Prices and work done while you wait!!! Cons: Easy to miss this little gold mine! more

I had a father of a friend tell me he had been going here for decades. ""Decades you say?"" Well if they've stuck around that long, I thought there had to be something special about this place. Once I entered, I was shocked by the size of the place; it wasn't a very large shop. As I waited for the young lady working behind the counter to finish up with a customer the gentle owner promptly asked if I had been waited on. We spoke about my rather new shoes and their soles poor endurance for their hefty price. I could see that this man knew his craft. On my return to pick up the pair I was very pleased to see the work that was done. It was impeccably resoled and the shine was as shiny as my head. Asked for a simple removal, regluing of soles and had horrendous results. The first time I ck'd the shoes were not ready when originally promised. Then, I thnk they rushed to get them done and 'trimmed' the soles when they shouldn't have and jacked them up. The owner got mad at me, like it was my fault...THEY DID AWFUL WORK, WERE RUDE, DISORGANIZED...I WAS TICKED! more

Heard so many good reports about this shop BUT I can't agree: \r 1. Shoes not ready on time\r 2. heels not same height\r 3. strap cut 1 inch instead of 1/4 inch.\r After 4 trips to the shop driving 30 miles each, I decided gas was too expensive to go back so I tossed 2 good pairs of shoes in my garbage.\r \r more
