When Gap Kids still had a stand-alone store outside the mall, they were great. Now that you have to fight mall parking and actually go inside the mall, they are still good, but not great. The variety of clearance merchandise is very much reduced and I just don't drop by as often to check. I used to be a regular, but now I'm "Hey, Stranger!" more

People often make fun of The Gap as a store for people with no sense of style, as most of the clothing is pretty plain. But while The Gap does have plenty of basics, it has a lot more than just khaki pants. For jeans, you really can't find a better store. They have different fits for different body types, so whether you have a problem finding jeans because your hips are bigger or smaller than average, they have a style that will fit you. My favorite thing at The Gap are the skirts. They have beautiful fabrics and styles, and many will leave you feeling like Audrey Hepburn. People always compliment my Gap skirts. But this store is expensive, so I tend to shop the sales racks or buy the regular priced things when I have a gift certificate. more

Their clothes are nice and their prices are more expensive than JC Penney's or such, but they are not outrageous. This is also a great store for tall women to find jeans that are actually long enough. I wear a 35" inseam and lucky for me Gap has that length in a variety of trendy styles. Also, they do vanity sizing which is nice when you want to feel thin. I can get away with wearing a size or 2 smaller than I usually wear there. It's nice when I can buy a shirt in a size small and it still a little big. This is definitely my staple store when it comes to buying jeans. more

The Gap is the coolest store in the world when shopping for clothes that are in style and good looking. My husband always shops there too. We go to the mall maybe 2-3 a month and we always go to the GAP first stop. I always check the sale rack and usually find some good buys - shirts and pants anywhere from $4.99 to $20 for a good deal. The only downside of course to this store is that it can be expensive! more
