Reminiscent of New York Sub Shop 12/11/2006

Gandolfos is very reminiscent of a New York sandwich shop. It’s in the basement portion of a building off of Center Street. Once you’re inside you’re surrounded by exposed façade of brick and mortar building and smaller local businesses (accessed through the sandwich shop no less!). There are TVs frequently tuned to the sporting game of the time. Their sandwiches are TASTY! Fun place to take a date instead of your standard chain sandwich shop. more

New York Subs 4/10/2006

This is a great place for lunch. It's not usually too busy, the service is good, the prices are fair and the food is great. I've never tried a sandwich here that I don't like, but their Hampton sandwich (Turkey, swiss, lettuce, tomato, avocado & mayo on a hero roll) is my absolute favourite. Or if you'd prefer the same thing served hot, order a South Hampton. All of their sandwiches are named after a place or a theme in New York, so you could find yourself eating a Shea Stadium or a Brooklyn Bridge. Gandolfo's have franchises all over Utah (two in Provo and one in Orem, to name a new), so once you decide you like them, there is always one on hand for when you want to go back. more

Sooo good! 4/7/2006

My introduction to Gandolfo's was a "free lunch" provided at a seminar about 401Ks that I went to at work. It was soo good that I went home that night and couldn't stop talking to my husband about it. I have loved every sandwich of theirs that I have tried and I can never get over how huge they are or how much meat they put on them!! The Hampton is one of my favorites! Their prices are very reasonable and it is a great value for your money! more

OK, but not great. 10/13/2005

When this place opened they had top class service and sandwiches, but now that they are franchising them all over Utah it has gone to hell. Sandwiches are now assembled my teenagers who are too busy on their cell phones to actually pay attention to your order. Every time I go I request no tomatoes and get them anyways. The one shining gem here is their breakfast menu. Queen's bagel can't be beat. more

The best sandwiches in the US. Period. 9/11/2005

My wife and I simply love this place. We're no longer in the Provo area but we are always saying how much we wish we could run down to Gandolfo's for a breakfast sandwich. I know the've opened up a lot of chains, but this original location has all the charm of a classic deli in new york and the best food in Utah. Don't hesitate to try it. My personal favorite is the Throg's Neck Bridge. Just Try It. You won't regret it. more

Great sandwiches, A must try!! 8/10/2005

Gandolfo's has the best sandwiches on the planet!! This is a New York-style deli with enough sandwich choices to keep one busy trying new ones for quite a long time. The store is decorated in NY memorabilia and makes it a fun place to go. Their sandwiches have plenty of meat and veggies and you can customize them if you would like. They also have soup, salads (potato, pasta, etc.), and yummy cookies. I would recommend this place to anyone. more
