To the consumers: Be careful with the practices that the store uses. The game players unlimited store is using a technique called, "entrapment". I have also reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They tell you about the product you are buying, give you information about the product that isn't true and most of their products don't work. Even if they are at fault and they promise you a refund, their refund is store credit and how they get you is by making get another game or make you buy a more expensive game that very well will NOT work once you get home. It happened to me and hope that the consumer is aware of their practice. Don't fall for their refund policy and REMEMBER not ALL of their products work. This is how they make their profits.. more

Awesome store getting a cheap deal with everything. compared to gamestop it is ten times more better. they also give preorderd games as soon as they get them 3 days before release. more

As to the 100% markup, its only on used games, and it only until the price drops. I know from working in several retail locations that stores make nothing on new releases. The mark up is 0 sometimes. For the store to be open they need to be profitable. Its the same in any store, some retailers mark up some items over 1000%, and loose money on others, if it wasn't for markups you couldn't shop there. If you want communism you wouldn't have video games. more

This is a lie, I have returned many games to this store, in both Batavia and Brockport. Each time they offer cash, this is a good business and there is no need for them to lose sales because of some angry child. more

i choose to go into this store because it has been around for awhile and i like to support a smaller business and i know the managers names and owner and his dog since they first came to brockport if you want dvds why pay 20 bucks when you can get it for 7 at the most i sometimes buy movies because they are so cheap i bought a great movie and i only spent 2 bucks on it i bought a game and i didnt like it and they only charged a rental fee no questions asked the service is great in some cases they may give you a buck or 2 more that gamestop would they are the place to go if you want vintage games when i purchased a ps3 controller new it was only 50 bucks as in other places they are 60 since it is walking distance i choose to go over and sometimes just browse and find myself buying something else and further helping the business i only wish they had a larger selection of used next gen games more

This place is a rip job the Manager told herself that they get 100% markup on their items sometimes more. They have the worst return policy of any company ever NO CASH REFUND under any circumstances and even with the receipt 30 days for store credit. They have horrid service I will never got back and telling all my friends and family the same. The hot-head owner raised his voice multiple times when speaking with me, insisted I requested the old version when asking for the "New" and "Current" game, and offered me a measly $20 for a used game (used being 2 1/2 weeks old, and in the hands of Microsoft for two weeks, documented). He replied by saying, "I'm not a baller, I can not lose $30." Jason freaks out on you for wanting to return anything in closing go elsewhere they are a bad business. more

The previous reveiwer was correct in most of his statement, with the poor grammar aside. Personally, I have frequented this esablishment countless times. I know most of the staff and owner (jason) by name and them with myself. Over months I have became, from what I have heard there biggest cutomer (as far as money spent and things traded in). The reason I choose to spend the bulk of my at this establishment is 1) they are a local business with a home town feel to the store and staff. 2) There prices are just as good or in some cases better than the big chain vendors (Game Stop and EB Games). 3) If you have a problem or concern with a purchased product then you can easyily bring it to them and they will come to a fair compermise. I highly recomend if you are thinking of purchesing video games, consoles, and accessories make your way to Game Players Unlimited, and support local business owners instead of a big business where you cannot get that quality services. more
