If nothing else, go here! 5/12/2006

This place was increadable. I went for lunch on game day and it was great! The crowds hadn't started to move in yet so it wasn't that busy yet. I was able to sit outside and just "people watch". The food was great and the drinks were cold. Our server was OUTSTANDING!!!!! I have never been to Boston and she was able to tell me all the great places to go. She wasn't rushed and actually took the time to tell my boyfriend and I all about the City. If you have enough time, make sure you head downstairs to the sports bar! It was one of the best places I've ever eaten and if your in Boston, you have to go! Pros: Service, Price, Food more

Great fun and food 4/29/2006

We sat at an outside table and watched the Sox on a big plasma television and had a fantastic time! The service was by far the best we have had in a long time. The food was great and the beer was cold. Can't complain about that... Pros: great service, great menu Cons: limited draft beer more

Great Sports Bar 3/22/2006

I recently went to game on to watch march madness. I was very impressed how they were able to accomodate everyone with a packed bar of about 300 people. I came with 5 other friends, all who wanted to watch different games, the dj made sure all the game were on and everyone was happy. He even gave us our own volume up in one of the sky boxes. The food was great, service was very friendly and they even offered cheap drink deals. Can't wait to go back next weekend. Pros: friendly service, great food, millions of tvs more

OVER-RATED 1/11/2006

Heard alot about the place on the radio ads. Not very impressed. They don't know if they want to be a local hangout sportsbar, or an upscale type of sportsbar. Nice selection of tvs for viewing games, but very over priced and a very poor ambiance to the place. Over priced! Pros: plenty of tvs Cons: parking more

A Modern Sports Bar... 11/5/2005

I love it! This place was great. Watched many Red Sox games from downstairs. The food was so so (you know bar food), but the drink specials were awesome, and the service was great. NOTE: if you are not going to watch a game at Fenway arrive at the bar a little after 1st inning, to avaoid standing in line...the place clears out for the people who have tickets to the game next door...after the game is fun too...(specially if the red sox win)...you have alot of people buying each other drinks....hahahaa Pros: Ambience, Beer Selection, Service Cons: Line more

When in Fenway 10/5/2005

If you intend to spend a day/night in the Fenway area then one of the best ways to feel a apart of the action is to spend time at Game On. The scene was great with outstanding food and drink and if there happens to be a game then the excitement is off the charts! Pros: location, scene, variety more

GAME ON!! 7/24/2005

We discovered Game On after a Fenway Park tour during our honeymoon. Brand new atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food are just some of the highlights of this fun place. The drinks are on the pricey side but worth every penny. These people know how to pour a drink! Try the Apple Bay Breeze. If you want to watch a game there's a tv for everyone. You can't miss with Game On! Pros: Great drinks, Great Staff, Nice decor more

Grand Slam 7/23/2005

Unable to get tickets to a red sox game this season, my friends and I headed out to Game On! Saturday night to watch the game on TV. We were blown away by the experience. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, the staff was friendly, and the service was great. I intend to go back soon, and wouldn't be surprised if I become a regular! Pros: fun, good food/drinks, excellent service more

Home Run 5/20/2005

Two words: Home Run. Game on! hits out of the park a concept that other venues have been unable to land a base hit with. The staff is professional and the service is exceptional. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was cool and sophisticated, yet causual and down-to-earth. Whether your sipping on a gin and tonic or thowing back a few swit ones with your buddies, this is the place to be. And more importantly, the viewing experience is out of the park. Its the next best thing to being at the game. I give it 5 stars out of 4 :) more

Great place to watch sports! 5/2/2005

We had a great time at Game On. Went there to watch the Sox over the weekend with a group of guys. The sound was unreal, felt like I was in Texas at the game. The staff is one of the best looking in town and very attentive. As far as the food we chowed down on nachos, wings and pizza. Had a great time and will be watching many games there from now on. more

Great food, great place to see the game 4/14/2005

I think this is easily the best sports bar in Boston. It's huge, two floors, upscale but not snooty. Enormous HD televisions everywhere. The sound is incredibly clear, but won't disturb conversation for those who are not really there for the game. Lots of places for large groups to sit. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced (they have an expensive steak selection, but most other meals range between $9-$13). We had duck pizza and a pork chop special that is a Larry Lucchino favorite - both outstanding. The bread pudding was also great. Beers range from $4.00 to $5.00, plus they have a good wine and liquor list. Superb service - our waitress, Amanda, was so attentive and went out of her way to accomodate us. If you're tired of the same old pubs and looking for a place to watch the Sox in style, this is for you. Pros: Huge televisions, Quality food, Attentive service more

  • The Scene
The Lyons Group (Kings, Avalon) has renovated a former bowling alley into a thoroughly modern sports cafe. Nestled into the side of Fenway Park, Game On! combines a cutting-edge sports bar atmosphere (more than 90 plasma and high-definition screens) with upscale comfort fare (wood-fired pizzas, steaks, chops, fresh fish). Patrons fill a sunny outdoor patio or head inside to drink and dine throughout the establishment's two levels (12,000 square feet).

    The Food
Twin kitchens churn out classic American fare, and the lengthy menu runs the gamut from straightforward starters (authentic buffalo wings) to intricate entrees like seared jumbo sea scallops with goat cheese risotto. Heaping plates of nachos and fried calamari are ideal for groups, as are brick oven pizzas. (Offbeat toppings include spicy lamb, brie and Philly cheese steak.) Hearty diners skip burgers and sandwiches in favor of marinated steak tips and New York strips.
