4 hour trip, because the 12 hour trip was cancelled.\r \r My grandson & I spent 4 hours on the “bay fishing” boat. Of the 4 hours we had our lines in the water maybe 1.5 hours. The rest of the 4 hours were spent driving to the first fishing spot, attempting to anchor the boat, moving to the next spot, attempting to anchor the boat & finally the 3rd & last spot, attempting to anchor the boat. If you enjoy waiting for the captain to anchor the boat this is the trip for you. If you want to catch fish spend your time & money on a different boat. The weather & current were calm; however most of our time was spent attempting to anchor the boat\r \r The deck hands were great, they were very helpful. The office personal should attend a customer service class, as their enthusiasm & greeting skills are better suited for a mortuary than an entertaining on the water experience. We had stopped by on Monday to get reservations, however the person at the counter (white man with a fish ring) stated that we should call back rather than book the reservation in person. We attempted to set our reservation on their website; however their response was to call them not email the information. Their phone was busy for most of Monday afternoon as I noted on the email, that I sent to them. The bottom line is you MUST call them by phone to get a reservation\r more

Great day for Carner family 3/22/2009

I never leave comments, but we had such a great time i wanted to pass it on. On march 16th seven of us went out on the Bucaneer for the 12hour trip.We brought along 2 ten year old boys with little fishing expirience. I thought i would spend all my time helping them, but to my suprise the deckhands took care of them with patience. We caught lots of big snapper 4 over 30 inches from our group alone.I cant say enough about the 3 deckhands , they were professional, curteous, knowlegable and allowed everyone to just fish and they did the rest. These guys would be an asset werever they work. We are planning our next trip already. Pros: Clean boat ,great crew, big fish Cons: red snapper season doesn't open until June 1st. more

A bad experience 7/12/2008

The staff was rude during morning check in; the boat was too crowded, literally fishing shoulder to shoulder with the people next to me. The twelve hour deep sea trip consisted of ten hours of travel time with a paltry 2 1/2 hours of fishing. This was not worth the $75.00 I spent; steer clear of these guys. Pros: There were some decent fish caught Cons: Boat too crowded, rude/innatentive staff, fishing time compared to travel time more

Good times, good fishin 4/3/2007

These people are a lot of fun. They make sure you catch something, even if its a slow day. Definitely fun for kids! Pros: fun staff Cons: can be over crowded during the summer more
