These folks could sell ice to an Eskimo.
I immediately got the impression that it's all about how much money they can get out of you. They're pushy and try to get you to buy more than you really need.
They give you a menu plan, and it's a poorly presented photocopy; not professional at all. There are items on the menu that you're not even supposed to eat. For example, it lists tomato soup as a snack, and when I asked them about it - i thought that wasn't a good item since it's loaded with sodium - the guy said, ""'No, that shouldn't be on there"", and that was the end of it. Another problem with this menu is that it has carbs on it. I was using the program for 3 months and only lost 10 pounds. The guy asked me what I was eating and I said I was following the menu you gave me. He says, ""You shouldn't be eating the carbs."" So why did he give me the menu in the first place if it's all incorrect?? I could have lost more if I wasn't eating the carbs - geez!
They get you to buy 'extras', and if they don't work after a few weeks, they say, ""Stick with this, and buy more of it."" $35 for aloe powder. The stuff doesn't help digestion, believe me. And it's a milder equivalent to Miralax, which is half the price.
From my experience Herbalife is all about getting people to buy more and more with slower results. The guy told me I'd lose 40 lbs. in 5 months...BUT he gave me the WRONG menu to follow! It's as if their information isn't updated, and they tell you something completely different. The guy tells you one thing on one visit, and his co-worker tells you another at the next visit.
They had a trainee there one day, and she told me she lost weight on the plan, but gained like 20 lbs. back when she went off it, and needed to get back on. What kind of encouraging advertising is that??
BE CAREFUL with this place. Great salespeople, but very misleading instructions. Check out other diet plans FIRST!!!
