I've not eaten at the Galletto because service is so bad for drinks and desserts that I'd never have the time to actually have a full meal. The staff is rude. It's always rude. The reason? Because the owner is rude. Unless you are a regular or they know you by name you are completely ignored. Four of us waited for over an hour to be seated. When we told them it was for drinks only, they wrote us off, as if to say 'since we weren't spending a lot, there was NO reason to treat us properly'. The entire back of the restaurant was empty and they continued to allow us to stand at the bar instead of seating us. We were willing to wait until the dinner crowd thinned out. We were still ignored. I approached the hostess no less than 3 times in a 2 hour period, Nada, Zip, Zilch. She finally said in the same attitude you get from the owner to JUST GO SIT ANYWHERE IN THE BACK, YOU COULDV'E DONE THAT AN HOUR AGO. My question...why didn't she tell us an hour ago. If I'm going to pay $7.00 for a drink, I'd at least like it served with a smile and hold the superior attitude. Pros: Parking & Entertainment Cons: Everything else ! more

the service is kind of funny. when you are seated you can wait up to 20-30 min for just the menu. I have been there numerous times for drinks and four or five times for food. all five times the food was less than desirable. . The steaks were always thin and gristly with the largest portions being less costly veggies. is directly from the bottle so as to ensure Overall on a scale of 1-10 the food and service at the cafes on either side are much better dining experiences for the money I suggest that if you like good portions of steak and fresh tasting food at a reasonable price then this place is probably not what you are looking for.... more

This is our favorite local restaurant. The staff is very attractive and friendly, and the food is creative and skillfully prepared. The Beef Buenos Ayres is a classic skirt steak, rice and beans dish which is excellent. The salads are great, including the Galleto and Caesar (yep). Look at the specials and see if any of the interesting combinations of flavors strike your fancy. Oh, and everyone around here agrees that the lobster bisque is the best they have ever had. Mushroom risotto is also a winner. On and on, love this place. One caveat; the food is just a little bit better if Santino is in hte kitchen. He's the boss, and it shows when he is there. I've eaten at this restaurant more than a few times for both lunch and dinner. It's located in a strip mall so there is an abundance of parking. The seafood dishes are excellent, especially the Chilean sea bass or the Xixo (spelling?) dish. There is an outdoor patio that is accommodating especially for large groups. The menu selection is unique in a sense that there are both dishes from Brazil and Italy intermixed. Of the times I've eaten here, I have not been disappointed. Nice people, good food, lively atmosphere. Interesting mix of Italian and Brazilian, I've had fantastic steaks. Great margaritas at the bar. Live music can be a bit overwhelming as it is not large. The Great One lives nearby and occasionally pops in. more
