I've had two pictures framed here. The owners are patient and give excellent advice. The quality exceeded my expectations (and I'm picky!). The pricing is fair and the the jobs...

Worst

I stopped by last week to ask for a budget for a simple frame (ie, black frame and black background). They told me that is would cost aprox. $130, and that was a good price taking...

Knowledgeable about what will make pictures look good - very helpful 12/13/2008

I've been coming here for about three years now and always have been really pleased with both the process of choosing a frame and the end result. The owner is genuinely interested in making sure that our pictures are really going to work well - not just trying to 'sell' us a standard frame. Getting the right frame is a combination of personal taste and also following some basic design guidelines - sometimes these requirements do conflict and the owner does a really good job of marrying these potentially conflicting demands. He listens well and isn't too pushy or too soft - he knows his trade and is good with people. Pros: Good advice, makes good pictures great! more

Great quality and price 10/18/2008

I brought 4 pieces into Galleria on Third, and Shadin was very helpful in choosing out the best frames for each. He is patient and friendly and his prices are very reasonable. They were done within a few days and the work is high quality. I definitely recommend Galleria on Third to anyone in Manhattan, and I will definitely return for future services. more

I have been a customer of Galleria on Third for approximately 8 years. They have done all my framing for several different apts that i have lived in or gifts that I have given. Whether framing your own art or pictures, looking for a new piece, finding a perfect gift for a loved one, or looking for a specific atrist, Galleria on Third should be your one and only stop! They are so patient and friendly and do amazing museum quality work. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a quality frame. Prices are great also! Picture perfect 9/24/2008

I?ve been to Galleria on Third three times, with an entirely different piece each time, and each time I have been delighted with the result. Shahid has a great eye and recommends frames that complement and actually enhance your artwork. He listens to you, and sincerely wants to highlight your piece. And his prices are very reasonable. I have used Galleria on 3rd twice for framing, and both times I found the owner to be very helpful, and full of good suggestions for framing options. He spent quite a bit of time with my wife and I and helped us make the decision we're very happy with. Pros: very helpful owner, no pressure, and fantastic hours Cons: I can't think of any more

Excellent and Knowledgeable Framing Professionals 8/26/2008

I started using Galleria on Third when I moved to the neighborhood earlier this year. I am now a repeat customer several times over. I received expert advice on the best way to bring out my out artwork, without being shown the most expensive options. I have had everything from movie posters, to photographs to oil paintings framed there. All were unique and treated as such. I highly recommend Galleria on Third to anyone in the New York area who is looking for quality, value and a beautiful end result. Pros: Great knowledge, great product, great value more

My new husband and I wanted to have our ketubah framed so we could hang it in our house. We read a ton of reviews on Citysearch before discovering Galleria on Third. Shadin and his staff are as good as the reviews say. His work is impeccable, his prices are extraordinarily fair, and he never tried to upsell us. In fact, he started out by showing us the lowest-priced options (something that has never happened at frame stores in the past). On Shadin's suggestion, we went with a gorgeous frame that complements the ketubah perfectly. And we couldn't be happier with it, or with him. We definitely plan on going back. I have now used Galleria on Third for a few works included 2 pricy artworks. The service is great, the timing excellent and the quality as you can expect it from the best shop in town. I have followed the advised given in terms of glass or framing and I have no regrets. These guys know their jobs! I would recommend anybody to use Galleria on Third for high quality service! He has helped me marry mat colors to frames for textures and styles of both traditional and modern. Using museum quality glass allows you to display art in any light. There are several custom framing stores on Third. I stopped at a few and they all provide similar rates - Manhattan rates, I agree... At Galleria On Third, you get great choice and service (recommendations, speed). Shadin is very nice and will always try to give an extra. It feels good to help him grow his business. I was lucky to find Galleria on Third when i first moved to this neighborhood. They have been my only framer since then - a period of more than ten years, if memory serves me. On a couple of occasions, i have had the 'opportunity' to consult with other framers, from my office, or while traveling... and each time, i realize why i will continue to be a happy client of Galleria on Third.
