I went in for a gold chain and I really liked their selections, but obviously picked the one for the gift. Thank you for the great advice that day.

I was ripped off by another coin shop and I hesitated to deal with coin shops in general. A friend told me about Gaithersburg Coin Exchange and I went. I am so glad I did! They were nice and knowledgeable and they made the coin buying experience fun again! more

I was happy with the amount of money I received for my coins after I had them appraised at America coin. They were professional and made me feel very welcome. I also had some jewelry I had them take a look at and was so happy when I found out it was worth even more than paid for it years ago. more

I like this place, they are fun to talk to, answered all my questions, and they gave me the best price on my coin collection, I checked around first. I actually ended up buying some coins too, since they had such a good selection and the prices were just right! more

I had an old gold coin I wanted to sell, and I figured that by taking it to a place like the Gaithersburg Coin Exchange, at least it had a chance of ending up in an appreciative numismatists collection rather than a gold refinery. I was buzzed in and met a fellow on the opposite side of a thick, bank-style security window. He looked at the coin and made me an offer on the spot. It was well within the range I was hoping to get for it, so I accepted and walked out with the cash. Quick and painless. more

This is a good place to go if you are in search of higher grade pieces. They have many examples of the rare stuff. They are knowledgeable and fair to the new collector as well! The first time I went in, they pushed hard for me to get a Red Book. Boy am I glad I did too! That book has taught me more about U.S. coinage than I ever thought existed! more
