Individuals have the ability and desire to heal and lead meaningful, fulfilling, happy lives. However, at times we need professional help to overcome devastating feelings and life events. Dr. Artico has over 13 years experience helping couples, adults and teens become who they were meant to be. She is the director of Gainesville Family Counseling, has taught at George Mason University, and is the author of the book Latino Families Broken by Immigration. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mediation, and has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT), clinical supervision, and Sand-Tray Therapy.


Dr. Artico's areas of expertise include treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. She has a collaborative, integrated, and strength-based approach to treatment and uses internal and external resources to help clients achieve timely and successful outcome in treatment,


Dr. Artico keeps office hours in Gainesville and Vienna, Virginia. Services offered include pre-marital counseling and group therapy for relational issues. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.. We are Bilingual Fluent in Speaking English,Spanish & Portuguese.
