We have trusted our fleet of approximately 15 trucks to Gages Lake Auto & Light Truck now for at least 5 years and would never hesitate to go back or refer a friend to them. They are very knowledgeable, kind and courteous at all times. They have courtesy vehicles to help you out in a jam and are even willing to give up their personal car if need be. Every repair always comes with an explanation of what and why before hand and they let you make the decision as to whether or not to proceed with it. I have never been treated better by a car repair facility than at Gages Lake Auto. more

Great mechanics! 8/2/2010

I have used Gages Lake Auto for years. They have treated me excellently. I have saved thousands in un-needed repairs because they let me know of common problems with my vehicles BEFORE they happen. Every vehicle they have serviced has gotten 150,000+ miles for me. I even got a free transmission through a recall they found. I just introduced my 16 year old to them. I trust them with my vehicles and now his! Pros: They know their stuff and get the job done right! Cons: Pricey but worth every $ more

Honest Repair Shop 7/28/2010

I have been a loyal customer of GLA since 2006. I have had three vehicles serviced and maintained by GLA over this time frame. My experience has been very positive overall. Any repairs that are needed are always explained first before work is done. Courtesy cars are a great help so you can go about your daily routine. Good Quick Service, Fair Price 7/24/2010

I like that they tell me what to look out for. Every time I drop off the car they test drive it, then drive it again after the work is done. I like that they are thorough. I don't want to find out that I have a problem with my muffler when its dragging on the ground. Pros: Quick accurate work Cons: None more

Professional and Competent Auto Repair Experience 7/11/2010

I've been a client of Gages Lake Auto for 4 years. Mark was recommended to me by several neighbors. I've been very satisfied with their service. I expect my mechanic to be proactive and give me a heads up on upcoming maintenance needs. They tell me when items (tires, belts, other) are showing signs of wear so I can budget for replacement. They also mail the recommended service schedule to me (the 50,000 mile checkup or 100,000 mile as is now the case for me). I like working with a mechanic who does not hit me with "surprise" repairs every time I take my car for an oil change. At the same time, if they see something, they do let me know. They also tell me which repairs are really needed right now and which can be safely delayed for a while. I have recommended them to others and feel confident doing so. Pros: Quick efficient service. I've been bringing my cars to Gages Lake Auto for a long time. They were recommended to me by a close friend & I couldn't be more delighted with the level of care & quality of service my car gets when I bring her in. Mark, Todd & Mike partner with me to make sure my car is getting the right service she needs. I'm a smart woman who doesn't know a lot about cars & I usually have a lot of questions about what is being done & why. No matter how simple my questions might be, they always explain things clearly & completely & never make me feel as if my questions have no relevance. Gages Lake Auto has been my steady choice for all my auto repair needs for the last 7 years (and last 3 vehicles!). The staff is friendly and knowledgable. There has always been a coutesy car available for all my scheduled appointments. Gageslake Auto Repair a Joke 6/23/2010

My husband told me they did repairs not needed and that I was charged way to much. I stopped just for an oil change and was told my belt was ready to break. I had them give me the old belt to take home with me. When my husband saw it he went off on me. The belt he said had no cracks and looked like new. They charged me $110.00 for the belt with labor. I tried to discuss this with the owner who more or less told me to leave. Pros: None Cons: Did work not needed and were over charging more

Honest and timely in getting the job done. 10/28/2009

I initially went to Gages Lake Auto & Light Truck Repair several years ago when I had a flat tire. I worked down the street at a school and, after my insurance company changed the tire, I went to Gages Lake Auto to have it fixed. After that first good experience, I ended up going to them again when my taillight went out. They fixed it for no charge. I have been using them ever since and have gotten loaners from them several times when my car was being worked on. I appreciate that Gages Lake Auto & Light Truck Repair does not add extra things to the bill. They do the work that needs to be done and do not try to do or sell you anything unnecessary. They are honest and timely in getting the job done. more

CUSTOMER SERVICE DRIVEN 10/28/2009

Gages Lake Auto and Light Truck has been my service company of choice for the vehicles in my family. I fully trust the staff and technicians that service my vehicles and believe they are first rate. My previous experience with dealerships was always poor / slow service, high prices, un-needed services, and broken promises. GLA has never pressured me into anything my vehicle did not need. Also, to make life even easier they will almost always have a loaner / courtesy car available for my / or my wife's use while our vehicles are in for service. Usually this is a perk only found at high end luxury car dealerships. I would highly recommend GLA to anyone who is in need of service work on their foreign or domestic auto, and also to those who may be looking for a different experience that the traditional auto dealership.
