Gadsden Arts Ctr

This is a very nice gallery. The staff is courteous and well-informed while the building is very neat and clean. When I visited, there was a lot of cool art from local artists. I just stood, staring, at some of the work. It was gorgeous. There are classrooms and other areas for kids. Some children's artwork was also on display. more

Gadsden Arts Center is located in an old historic building in downtown Quincy that was renovated and is really beautiful. The floors are hardwood and there are large windows and great lighting. Several times a year there are art shows for the public. Local artists display their art for sale, and the community gets some great culture. Receptions are held here as well, and the gallery is available for rental, in whole or in part, for weddings, receptions, and other events. The prices for rentals are very reasonable. There are also events held such as art lessons, an art lesson camp for kids in the summer, and members-only gatherings and receptions. Membership to the Art Center is annual and is open to anyone; the fees are reasonable. The gallery director is fairly new and seems to be doing a great job. I am pleased to have Gadsden Arts in my hometown. more
