AVOID GLASSWERKS AND ITS DISREPUTABLE OWNER JOHN KACSO. I was given an estimate over the phone and via email for the repair of two broken windows. Glasswerks sent a worker to take the window measurements. On the day they were supposed to install the windows, a terrified worker called saying that the owner (who had approved the earlier estimate and had been cc'ed on the email estimate) had misunderstood what the job entailed, and now wanted double the price listed on the estimate. As the worker spoke on the phone, Kacso could be heard screaming and cursing like a madman in the background. Buyer beware! more

The other day, I was nearly rear-ended by a crazy person behind me in a huge, scary white truck with this web address on the back of it - the Glasswerksny site. I had my 17 month old in the car and had to dramatically pull to the side of the road to make sure he didn't hit me. He was really aggressive and clearly pissed off that I didn't drive fast enough. I saw the email address and contacted their owner to let him know how badly this person drove, thinking he would be appalled at the behavior of someone representing his business. This wasn't the case. He said the person was reprimanded but if I thought he'd fire someone over it, I had to be kidding. He then went on to say some equally pathetic things that showed he's not only an idiot but a very bad business man. I Googled his name, John Kacso, and found a picture of him on Myspace - next to the big scary white vehicle he nearly killed me and my child in. I emailed him once more and told him - I just realized that you were the one driving the car, and he wrote back - well, now you know why I can't fire someone over it. more
