G P Sport's Camden Watercraft

I needed a new chain on my sv650. Called them up at 9am and confirmed they had the chain in stock. Spoke to their service department and they said I could bring the bike in and they'd install the new chain same day. I dropped off the bike at 9:30am and walked a mile to where I work. They called 3 hours later saying the work was done and so I walked back and picked my bike up. Overall it was very quick and smooth and everyone I interacted with was polite and professional. I had read the reviews on here before even calling this place and so I was a bit wary giving them my business. But I needed the chain and it was really convenient being so close to my work so I decided to take a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I don't know if they're under new ownership or if I just got lucky or what but my experience was nothing but positive. more

I did not buy my bike at this dealership. However, I use the parts and the service department. I am completely satisfied with both. Especially the service manager. I recommend them. more

I bought my Honda Metropolitan scooter from them two years ago, have been back for routine service twice and an emergency visit once when the lock jammed on my seat and I couldn't get it up. The sales and maintenance staff have been courteous, helpful, and not the least bit condascending even though my scooter was the first two wheeler I ever purchased and I'm sure they found a middle aged lady coming in for a purchase was not routine. I brought my Yamaha 550 Grizzly ATV in for service. They were fine when I checked in. Gave me a price, which seemed a little high, but any price from any mechanic seems high these days. i was too lazy to do the work myself, so I let them do it. I also told them it had been overheating and I couldn't figure out why. On Friday afternoon, they committed to being done on Monday for pick up late in the day. Monday at 4:00 they called, ready for pick up. They had found why it was overheating, and said I had the option of replacing the entire fan, or fastening (a hose bracket that had broken on the fan body), with a zip tie. I went down there, took a look at the zip tie solution, and found it to be quite adequate. I was appreciative that they have found a solution that saved me $250.00 more

I recently just purchased a new 2009 Yamaha YZF-R6 at GP Sports on El Camino. I just wanted to say that the experience was perfect! David Giordano was great at his job. He answered all of my questions and concerns and helped me with buying the bike and finding insurance. Scott in the apparel department was great also, helping me with all of my accessories. I live one block from this business and I have never had any issues with them. I have seen them ride through and they seem very respectful. I bought my scooter from them years ago and I had a great experience. more

After dealing with Eastbay Motorsports in Hayward for the last few years, I finally got sick of their bad customer service and wanted to try a different dealership. One of my friends recommended G.P. Sports because he bought a bike from Tom over there and was very happy with him. The day I went there Tom wasnt there so I delt with Fred. He was up front and not pushy at all, so I ended up buying a cbr600 off him. They gave me a great deal on the bike and the gear and I will definetly go back there from now on. I get the feeling that all of these other people complaining are the reason i got out of customer service, i just dont see what they are complaining about?! more

I like it here, my husband bought his bike from here back in 2003 from Tom i think. He is super helpful and nice has a brother in Iraq. I bought my bike from the other GP sports in Santa Clara its cool there as well. They dont offer discounts like Bay area motorsports they give us military discount, but it all good they always have what we want, or they order it and call us right away. I forget those guys names but they are super chill, helpful, knowlegable, and cool. They have street sales that are really good, you get alot of good stuff on sale for a sweet price. We ordered a new 08 helmet from souamy it took a while to come in b/c it was backordered but it was well worth the wait we ordered it in December of 07, so it was understandable. They are kinda small and have a good variety of stuff but they have catalouges you can order just about anything. more

All the sales reps here I've spoken to were always very helpful and never have been too salesey....a good place to buy a new bike with lots of models and mfgs to choose from. Just found out that they sell a bunch of gear upstairs, too. more

I purchased a new Suzuki a few weeks ago from GP. They were very informative, helpful and extremely patient. I think it was Russ that helped my wife and I. He didn't pressure us into a decision, and they worked out a great deal, and helped us get approved for financing! We were also able to get our gear fully financed in the deal. We found everything we needed, and again, weren't pressured. I hate it when people push me to make a purchase, and sometimes it can take me a while to be sure about my decision before I pull the trigger. I've stopped by a few times already since my purchase to browse around and shoot the bull. Everyone there has treated me like a veteran biker, even though I'm pretty new to riding. It's nice to find a place where they treat you well! Overall, this has been a great first bike purchase experience! more

I had order some parts and was coming in to pick them up and was in line with 3 other people. There was only one person upstairs and there was one person ahead of me. I waited for another 15 mins before someone else came up to help out. During this time the person in front of me wanted to exchange something so this ""finance guy"" told them to go get the parts they want and he would help them out. Meanwhile I was next but I was not helped? No. This guy helped who appeared to be his friends who had just came up and did not even wait in line. WTF? And when he was done helping out his friends he came back to finish up with the other customer who had the exchange. Ok so that was fair because the other person needed the exchange. I waited until the exhange was done. Now I was next. However I was not helped, yet again. He asked if anyone was making a purchase and the couple in back of me went up for him to help. At this point I was about to yell but lucky for him, the other guy finished up with his customer so I was able to pick up my parts but not after wasting 50 minutes in there. Needless to say I will not be returning to this hell hole to buy anymore parts nor to get any services. I have spent over $800 here and was treated like $#it. more
