I, 100% agree and relate to all the people who DO NOT RECOMMEND DARLENE ANDERSON. Words are simply not enough to describe the experience to have someone useless in a case that means everything to a person, family. \r She is NOT working towards a child's best interests, or to help keep a family together. \r I wish we could all get together and sue this woman for her malpractice and abusive fees for services she does not provide.\r If you are in a case where a child's advocate is recommended, object to the name of Darlene Anderson and use your research, our experiences, as grounds for your objection. \r This is an area where the most serious approach must be taken.\r She can sue me for her bill if she wants to but I can not, in good faith, pay her for doing absolutely nothing. She met with me once. She never replied to my request to meet again. She just echoed whatever the opposite counsel had to say. It is pathetic to watch her not taking a stand for what the court appoints her to do. \r This family court system is a circus, and Darlene Anderson is one of the biggest clowns in it. more

Phony, friends with the judges and attorneys, no interest in the facts or the case. Just another time filler to keep a difficult case going. She adds absolutely no value and is not a good advocate for the children. more

Darlene has been a great help in the adoption of my niece. We really couldn't have done it without her. She worked with our budget and kept in contact with my family. I have and will continue to recommend her to anyone who needs a family lawyer. Please don't listen to the nay sayers about her, i'm sure there is more to the story then what they put about Darlene! I cannot even give this woman one star. This ""attorney"" (and formerly a nurse) spoke to our son once in a one year period (when she was retained by the court). Dad was absent for many, many years and was very heavy handed with our son once he did return. Our teenaged son begged not to be made to visit his father and that he was afraid of him and didn't like the visits. She didn't care what he said and felt in her ""heart"" that the visits were in the best interest regardless of what our son said. She also made outright lies to the court about conversations with our son. She is a TERRIBLE lawyer and is not an advocate for anyone but her own agenda. I received an enormous bill for her endless communications with our son's attorney and his father and made a difficult situation even more difficult by her negligence and lies. STAY AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN. If the court makes a ""recommendation"" for minor's counsel - object, object, object. It will only cause more harm than good. more

Is your ex shacked up with an abusive person? A deadbeat? No job. Does your ex drink excessively? Party excessively? Does your ex lie and coerce your kids into believing things that just aren't true? Does your ex hang around an unsavory group of people? If you have any of these issues with your ex husband or wife than Darlene Anderson is going to be the best thing that ever happened to you. She will absolutely interview the kids and she will consider what they want. Be careful! This is not about you. If you truly believe that you know what is best for your kids than go for it. be honest and sincere and by all means be respectful. more

Darlene Anderson made court recommendations without speaking with my children. She billed me privately at $250 per for long conversations with other controversial persons in the Family Court System ie Doyne and Lori Love who had not seen my children recently either. Yet, she had no time to speak to myself or the children. She relied on hearsay refusing to look at evidence. She made false statements to the judge and to my children. My daughter stated when she did meet Darlene would only talk on and on about HERSELF not listening to my teen. My high functioning 17 year old had no trust in her and felt she was going through the ropes for the money. My daughters felt she just did not care and was ""not very bright"" more
