Spend every moment you can with Bill and he will teach you about:\r 1. what needs to be done immediately to fix current or ongoing issues that will become worse\r 2. prepare a list of preventative maintenance to keep your home in tip-top shape\r 3. give you an idea of items that could become problems in the future \r \r \r We have used Bill for two full inspections and four preliminary walk-throughs over the course of nearly four years. In the meantime, We have become very judicious home buyers throughout this process because Bill will teach you about key items to look out for when walking through a home, if you care to learn. We have also used Bill to recommend quality repairmen over the years and can report that he keeps good company of honest individuals that complete high quality work. I have asked many times to have Bill adopt me. Although my parentage hasn't officially changed, he always treats me like family and will tell me very honestly if he approves or disapproves of the most important investment that we will make over the next decade. more

My husband and I are in escrow on a house in Las Vegas as an investment property. We saw the great reviews on Yelp, CitySearch, and another site for Bill Thomas, Master Inspector of F.Y.I. Inspections. Bill is one of the few master inspectors in Nevada and for good reason. We live out in California, so hiring the best inspector is top on our list. Bill called me shortly after he arrived at the house we planned to buy. He had immediately identified a significant mold problem (he is also a certified mold inspector). My in-laws (our eyes and ears in Vegas) arrived and Bill showed them the likely source of the problem (a leak in one of the bathrooms) and how pervasive the mold had spread into the walls of the garage, laundry room, and ductwork. It was at minimum a $25K remediation. Needless to say, we immediately notified our realtor and instructed him to rescind our offer. Bill saved us from a potential $430K+ costly mistake. Our search for a house continues in Vegas, but we know the first person we're going to call is Bill for any inspect, period! He is punctual, very meticulous, personable, and HONEST!! Seriously, you need to call Bill before you call any other inspector. more

the best inspector Mr. Thomas performed are home inspection. He was very thorough my wife and I was surprised of all he pointed out to us, especially since this was a newly built home by a well known builder. His knowledge and expertise was unmistakable. As an investor, builder and realtor I have seen many inspectors in my time. Moving to Las Vegas for Delaware, and investing in more real estate I was concerned about finding a professional and knowledgeable home inspector. After asking around in the real estate offices and researching on line the most talked about inspector was Bill Thomas of F.Y.I. Inspections, his reputation was outstanding and the reviews I had read were great. Being a skeptic I call Bill and ask several questions only a qualified inspector would know the answers to. After a brief conversation I scheduled an inspection on the house I was buying for my personal residence. Having set high expectations in my mind of his ability, I made a point to be there for the inspection and following Bill around and asking questions I can tell you I was not disappointed and his knowledge, professionalism and through inspection was the greatest . The service did not stop there days later I called with questions and advice on some improvements and he gladly took time to consider the questions and provide me with the correct procedure. He is far more then I expected. And he will be performing the phase inspections on the 14 homes being built in the north west. I thank Bill every time I see or talk to him, he is the greatest.
