A nice family ran business. Located out on the highway, fast and easy to get to. They salvage lot of different items autos, soda cans, car/truck/ect batteries, any type of aluminam, furnaces, and tires. They pay you two dollars per battery, and so much a pound for everything else. They will help you unload items or will weigh your truck before and after to get the correct weight. They are open on Saturdays which is good for people who have to work during the week. more

  • Fusselman Salvage Company was started in 1947 by Harvey Fusselman on Highway 24 in Moberly. He processed scrap metal and sold parts off junk cars. Upon Harvey's death in 1952, his sons Terry and Tom took over the business and operated it until 1994, when Terry's son David took the family firm into its third generation of ownership. Under Terry and Tom, the business eventually shifted its emphasis away from car parts to handle the growing volume of scrap metal brought in from north central Missouri. In 1975 they moved their scrap steel and cast iron operation to the Moberly Railroad Yards and kept the copper, brass, aluminum and other soft metals at the original Highway 24 location. In 1981, they started servicing industrial accounts, kicking off a huge growth spurt that continues to this day under David Fusselman's ownership. Over 35 million pounds of metal passed through the business last year. While long-time metal-buyers in Kirksville, Hannibal, and Columbia have gone out of business, Fusselman Salvage Company is going stronger than ever, serving customers from Kirksville to Fulton and from Palmyra to Carrollton. On a typical day, we buy aluminum cans from a man on a bicycle even while a tractor-trailer full of scrap iron rolls across the truck scale. Our customers are small, large and any size in between. Other scrap dealers in the region sell us metal due to our marketing strength and railroad-shipping capability. If you have scrap metal for sale or an industrial facility that needs scrap removal services, contact us:
