I purchased a sofa and coffee table at Furniture World about 2 years ago. The bargains were unbeatable and the quality is good. The sofa pillows aren't filled very well, so they're starting to slouch and look a little droopy now, but the coffee table still looks brand new and is made very well. Both items were easy to purchase and the sales staff was very nice - they don't jump you at the front door like some places. I would have rated Furniture World with 5 stars, but honestly, the manager and his attitude during delivery absolutely stunk. When the delivery date was scheduled, they were hours late and once they arrived, it had started to snow. The truck can literally back into my front door since I have no front porch and the carport is right near my door. However, because there was a "dusting" of snow on the group, they called on their cell to cancel delivery and told us we'd need to wait another few weeks because under contract, they cannot deliver in the snow. FURIOUS because I took off an entire afternoon from my job to meet them and they were already 2 hours late, I called the manager at the store and he said he gave them the direction. I told him it was powder dusting of snow and I had no stairs and the guys could back almost into my house and he was just so rude and unbendable. I was fuming upset and told him I would never do business at his store again and he didn't seem to care. Then, I got my husband involved and let's just say, the furniture came that evening and the men who delivered it were rude and nearly threw the items at us, but we got our paid for furniture. However, just writing this and reliving this experience in my head again makes me very angry. So, if you get anything at Furniture World, do not order it in the winter because if it snows, they will not deliver your items at all.
