Furniture For A Cause

This place is great!! I was able to fully furnish (living room, bedroom and dining room) my first apartment there for less than $1000 total! (this included mattress set, 5 pc bedroom, sofa and love, 3 pc living room tables, and a 5 pc dining table) I have to say that I completely disagree with the poster below, I am a recent college grad who just got my first apartment and after looking at ebay, goodwill, and thrift town I found the best buy for my money at furniture for a cause. Plus I had a friend who oredered from that Texas United Store and was very unhappy with quality and service, she had to replace the couch she bought there in less than 1 year. While I do like that the proceeds benefit the homeless, the main reason I shopped there is price for quality. Also, there seems to be new mgmt and the prices are getting lower and lower which I love! I would definatly recommend shopping here)!! more

I have to agree with the first post concerning price-though I would suggest Texas United Company and/or Ebay instead of goodwill or thrift store. The point being if you want to spend the money you might as well get new and more durable & better condition furniture. Dollar for dollar better quality can be found through TUC or ebay. That was my experience helping shop for furniture for my nephew. This was the place we visited first and it wasn't for his budget. And I believe similar customers(first-time renter, college students, anyone who thinks 2nd hand is for them etc) will find the same. BUT if the charity is important to you and you have the money you may want to check it out. more

What a neat store. Not only do they have gently used furniture at great prices, but they also sell new name brand furniture at great prices as well. Definately worth a visit if you are looking for new and used furniture at reasonable prices. And you can feel good buying from this store because all proceeds go to the SAMM ministry. more

I have been a loyal customer and donor for years and I love the place! I saw someone mention price and goodwill. Well, if you are looking for cheapest furniture goodwill or a thrift store is the place to go. However if you are looking for QUALITY then this is the place to go. Also keep in mind not all of the furniture is donated, some of it is new and priced accordingly. I found a great leather couch there for around $1,000 however I researched it and that couch was worth well over $2,000 used! more

There are many great items here at all price ranges. I was a little surprised at what I saw when I walked it, but soon realized that there was a range of prices based on the quality of each piece. I was able to furnish my new apartment under budget and it looked great. Plus it feels good knowing my purchase helps the homeless more

I have shopped at Furniture for a Cause for several years and am always pleased with the inventory of quality items as well as the great sales' staff. It is a bonus to know that the proceeds help with the ministry of God. more

This place is all furniture and some home furnishings. I will admit that they had some decent stuff but I was really surprised at how high that everything was priced for used furniture. You could find much better bargains on just as nice furniture at Goodwill or Thrift Town! The workers were friendly and helpful but I would not spend that much money on used furniture! more
