Business brought me to Louisville for a week and before setting foot in Kentucky, I searched around the Web to find some good restaurants; as a Cajun/Creole fan, I'm glad I found Furlong's. I was by myself, but I felt right at home, as the service was excellent. I went with some standards - a bowl of seafood gumbo and blackened chicken over jambalaya. The gumbo was pricey, but good - not too spicey and with a good amount of ""contrast"" with the veggies and meats. The blackened chicken wasn't really blackened - it was basically a grilled breast with spices, but it was tender and delicious. The jambalaya had pieces of beef and mushrooms in it - something I've never seen in jambalaya - but it too was delicious. Maybe someone from New Orleans would be disappointed with authenticity, but I'm glad I found Furlong's and stopped in.
Pros: Nice surroundings, Great service, Blues in background
