We went here back in 2009 and it did look like it had been neglected, but we tried again Dec 29th 2011 and you could tell they had put forth some effort and made some improvements. All the ponds were full of water and working, music was playing, rotten boards on the walkways had been replaced and the electrical boxes no longer had wires hanging out, which was a little scary the first time we went. Bathrooms were clean and the video games were a little old, but all were working. The teenage guy in the lobby was VERY friendly and nice to us, even gave my daughter a little stuffed animal after she lost her money in the claw machine. I was glad we gave them another chance and my kids had a great time there! more

We called on a Saturday evening and were informed that they would be open until 11pm...we drove all the way from Pascagoula, arrived at 10:15, and were told that they were shutting down early because they didn't have any customers... more

We had our child's Birthday party there and everyone had a great time. The kids had a blast at the party and the arcade, and the miniature golf afterwards was enjoyed by all. Two Thumbs Up.creases more

The previous reviews did cause me to pause a bit, but ultimately I decided that I would give it a shot. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The mini golf was great and there was a very nice but small gameroom for the kids. Overall it was a great experience. more

I live in Mobile and have played this course several times. The good: imaginative layout, nice visuals, fun landscape, fun course. This review has nothing to do with the quality of the course. Both my kids, now 11 & 12, like playing there. The bad: the clubhouse experience. Pimply, gangly, hormone-charged lethargy drips from each word not uttered by the staff. Boy or girl, it matters not. Were I 17 and showing some pelvic dish, perhaps I might get treated with a measure of affected disinterest. But being a parent with only brats in tow and nothing but a wallet to apologize with, I get customer purgatory: I hand too much money to some widget who struggles with the tedium of making change while talking on the cellphone, I affect some measure of enthusiasm for my kids' benefit without receiving any eye contact or thanks. On the way out I get a second shot of abuse as I offer unacknowleged thank-yous and smiles (we live in the south, after all) to the employees, for the sake of my children. The one time I did venture into the nether regions of the Funtasia Clubhouse for video games, I was treated to the squalor of half-alive video screens, discarded drink cups and sticky joysticks. It put me more in mind of a roadside Adult Video Truckstop than a "family fun center". When I called today to ask for ticket prices, I got a scratchy, rude outgoing message which gave me a full dose of Funtasia Ennui without ever setting foot in the place. So I decided this review would be in order. Anyone who's ever tried to make "easy money" as an absentee landlord will recognize this scenario. The remedy? Hire an adult manager who will accept the responsibility of a clean and cheerful clubhouse, then give a performance bonus. Get rid of the closed culture of teen angst behind your counter. I'm after an escape from parenting, not a vivid example of what can happen when I don't. And lower your prices or offer some discounts already! more

IF YOU ARE AN OVER PROTECTIVE PARENT OR SOMEONE WHO HAS TO HAVE A PERFECT EXPERIENCE AND CATERED TO THEN JUST DON'T GO.IT IS AN OLD ESTABLISHMENT AND YES IT NEEDS SOME IMPROVEMENTS BUT WHERE ELSE ARE YOU GOING TO GO IN MOBILE TO PLAY PUTT PUTT ? MAYBE INSTEAD OF RAGGING ON FUNTASIA !!!! YOU SHOULD RAG ON THE PARENTS WHO LET THEIR CHILDREN TEAR EVERYTHING UP. IT'S THE PEOPLE WHO GO TO FUNTASIA WHO MESS IT UP !!! AND I AM SURE IT GETS EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE THINGS WHEN YOU ARE HAVING TO DO IT EVERY WEEK. SO IN CONCLUSION IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE GO JOIN THE COUNTRY CLUB BUT IF YOU ARE JUST LOOKING FOR A HOLE IN THE WALL TO GET AWAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY THIS IS A PERFECT PLACE TO GO !!!! AND WHEN YOU DO HAVE RESPECT FOR THE PLACE AND DON'T MAKE THINGS WORSE BY TEARING UP. more

Good: The thought that one day this place will close. The only good thing that happened that night was seeing an employee hit on a customer and get slapped in the face.. Bad: The false advertisement of "fun" in Funtasia. It was miserable. An employee wore his sunglasses inside the whole time. Other employees played jokes with the customers. Everyone looked and acted like they were 12. They were not helpful, they acted annoyed, and none of the services worked.. Improvements: I would like to see Funtasia be replaced with an Olive Garden or anything that causes this place to close.. Other: My hope for humanities future was destroyed when I set foot into this atrocious establishment. The place is a dump the water outside has a weird tint and to be honest it smelled. Bothrooms were gross. I see nothing but intoxicated teenagers up there and its just shameful and wrong. Funtasia, I hope my kids forget about the experience and someone cracks down on you guys.. more

I've been to Funtasia several times and its usually decent. However, my recent visit June 7, 2009 left me a little disappointed. The course itself was fun (seeing as though its the only mini-golf in Mobile). Well, it was 90 degrees outside so I thought it would be nice to get a drink. I go inside and ask the workers (all teenagers) for a drink. They responded "We don't have any..we're all out" and walked away. No "Sorry" just walked away and sat back up on the counters doing nothing. Where is the manager when you need them? Apparently not doing their job making sure drinks are there for the customers especially during the summer. Needless to say..the "employees" need an attitude adjustment and some supervision. more

I was looking for a fun place to take my family for an afternoon get away,I called several times to get more info on what they offered.No one answered the machine continued to pick up and repeat the same message so ,I decided rather then drive to mobile to a place I have no real details about we'll just take our money and time else where. more

The manager at funtasia, the blonde one was seen jumping a young lady... I do not believe that this is the kind of environment that I would like to see my children in. The manager brutally attacked her as she was attempting to leave. I hope the owner of this establishment reads this review. Your manager should be relieved of her duties as she is apparently not suitable to work in a childrens environment. more

The attendants left the desk for more than 15 minutes, One young lady continuously spoke on her cell phone while the 2 boys that hardly looked old enough to work there ran around trying to collect TOKENS. The Golf Course was falling apart, the Ropes that helped one get up and down the stairs where falling apart and on the 12th hole for the Elephant course, the staircase was in shambles, my 2 year old almost fell through, The green on several of the holes was tattered and torn beyond repair and there were several times that the ball got STUCK in the hole. Hardly any of the video games inside the arcade worked, and the Ladies restroom was a complete mess. Over all i would have to say that the Funtasia was not the best. Yes of course you can GO early in the morning or go late in the evening but either way your going to see the broken pump for the waterfalls the broken animals along the golf course and several bushes that need to be trimmed. Along the sidewalks you will find that if you step more than an INCH off the path your going to twist your ankle due to the lack of SIDEWALK in some places. Perhaps this place was better 10-11 years ago as i would remember. I will NEVER take my child or my nephew back there again. It was a miserable time. Money was wasted on this trip!!!! more

Nothing to really rave about. It's a great place to get out and have some family fun. It can get pricey pretty fast though. The arcade games were good... to my husband! So I'm guessing in real terms it is not that good to kids these days. They had some older games I remember from a child! Go early evening, it's just too hot otherwise! Young staff, more interested in flirting with each other than helping customers. A good place to visit every once and while, but no more. more

Well, I change it. It's not only great for the kids but for the adults as well. It's nice to spend time here with your child to bond. You can have birthday parties here or just come and play. You have your choice to play mini golf or stay inside and play video games. Or you can split it up. Just make sure you leave before closing time because they will turn the lights out on you. It's a Jungle out there! more
