Funeral & Cremation Svc

They are cheap. Other than that nothing to recommend them. Slow, confusing, unfriendly. confusing on-line system that doesn't work. 3 weeks to get the ashes back. No updates while you are waiting. My recommendation. Spend a few buck more and get a lot better service. more

My dad passed away at Chapman Hospital. They said I only had minutes to decide where my father would go. They said they used a funeral Home nearby. ""Ferrara Colonial Mortuary"". My dad wanted cremation so I did a web search. Price is an issue. I found a couple of local places that were cheap. I called ""Orange County Cremation"" and a man gave me a quote that was good. I called then called ""Funeral and Cremation Service of Orange County"" and the man said to me "" I just spoke to you"". I thought I mis-dialed and then realized I didn't. The place had 2 names and 2 numbers. I hung up and thought about it and decided to go with the local funeral home . I called Ferrara Mortuary, and guess what. THE SAME GUY FROM THE OTHER TWO PLACES ANSWERED THE PHONE! W.T.F.! He didn't recognize me this time and gave me a totally different price! Is this legal? Do they have a local monopoly? No way would I use these guys. I called another place and the woman said she used to work there and that they had a bunch of different names and web sites. I asked if it was legal and she said she didn't know, but that the place is in flux with a lot of personnel changes. No way would I recommend them. more

I found them on-line and they were the least expensive I found that sounded competent. I spoke to the owner on the phone and things were very simple. When my mother passed I assumed it was all handled. It wasn't. There was additional paperwork and other things I didn't know about. It took nearly 3 weeks before I got the ashes back. I wasn't in a hurry but nobody told me it would take that long. The pricing is great. If your not in a hurry its a bargain. No frills. I have dealt with their affiliated funeral home. Totally the opposite. They are first class all the way. more

My mother has been suffering from alzheimers for several years. When she passed away I flew into town to make final arrangements. I searched the internet from my hotel and came up with a list of places. The prices varied a lot. I was a bit confused until I spoke to Elayne at Funeral and Cremation. She was so nice and gave me a lot of information. I came in and met with Joe who was very sweet. My family was so impressed by him. He was kind and smart. If he wasn't married to the owner's daughter I'd introduce him to my neice! Their pricing was the most affordable we came across and they never pressured us or tried to sell us on anything we didn't want. They arranged to have my mom scattered at sea. We did not use their service but their person was very nice on the phone. We ended up using another really good funeral home per a family members experience. This place has great pricing, I don't know if they have a viewing facility. more
