Fun-Fair Positive Soccer

Not happy with this league at all. It is restrictive in participation with the parents... I believe it's a good idea gone bad. Only say ""good, great, nice..."" . Don't say...""run, kick, get the ball..."" Unnatural behavior. The kids are lost...going the wrong direction...kicking the ball to their own goalies without a clue because everyone is forbidden from saying anything. They have substitution every few minutes...someone yells ""substitution time""...the kids all run to the side of the field...some sit out...some run in...the ""game"" starts again only to stop a minute or two later for the same thing. Mass confusion. A great league for two and three year olds but too much money for a parent wanting their child to have a positive experience and also learn a little about how to play a team game. No pro status...just a general concept about soccer...not going to get this here. Might as well join a mommy group and have them run around a field kicking a ball for free. more

We are entering our 6th season with FFPS, which embraces keeping everything fair and positive for the kids. The pricing is anywhere from half to a third less than other sports in our area. Every team needs to obtain a corporate sponsor or self-sponsor, but there is no fund raising involved AND every kid gets a full uniform (shirt, shorts and socks) and a trophy at the end of the season. The founder of the league is very much involved in the day-to-day with each league and I find him to be quite approachable. His foremost concern is keeping the teams balanced and fair based on age, skill levels, neighborhoods, gender distribution, etc..., so that everyone has a great experience. Fun is ultimately what it's all about and FFPS delivers! more

FFPS Soccer is the greatest non-competitive organization for the whole family. The kids not only have a great experience with being on a soccer team, their parents also get to be positive role models for the kids. All kids get to play regardless of ability including special needs children. Parents can be coaches and are trained and do not have to have soccer experience. Every child gets a trophy. I have six kids playing in this league and they love it. They have more self confidence and look forward to practices and games. FFPS was the most positive program for all 3 of my kids. They were treated with respect by coaches, parents, and players. They got to play, guaranteed. They met many nice friends who remain friends today. As parents we met some very nice people who we became good friends with. Special needs players were included on regular teams and I witnessed many positive situations that were so respectfull to Special Needs plyaers. Kids who would be left out were accepted and included and treated with so much respect and positive self esteem building. The coaces are so respectful and positive, too. The player behavior is amazing. The play is so fun to watch as the players play with onl 5 per team and on smaller fields for so much ball contact for every player. The equal play rule and play every position rule helps ensure fairness for all. And parents are so positive and taught to say go, good, great, nice before thgey say anything else. The founder has instilled a unique environment for the whole family! Pros: Every player treated with respect sand getw to play. Cons: Nothing more

FFPS is a great kids soccer league because everyone plays, is encouraged and has a great time! It's soccer with a greater goal. Pros: Fun, positive, fair more

I would not recommend this program to anyone. From the beginning the founder of this so called fun league has been a complete pr_ck. His rude and arrogant attitude has my family and friends wishing we had never contributed to this money making scheme. Oh and trust me they don't care if you complain, they already have your money. I hope you will not subject yourselves especially the females to his derogatory and demeaning comments. more

We participated in FFPS for three seasons with wonderful experiences. However, during our fourth season, we encountered a coach that didn't seem to care for female players (it is a coed league) and made very discouraging and negative remarks toward my daughter. We contacted the Division Coordinator and complained, after all it is ""Fun Fair Positive Soccer."" We requested a team change. The team change was denied with 6 open slots still available. The Division Coordinator was very nice and easy to work with. She informed me that the decision came from above. I attempted to speak with the Executive Director about the denial of the request for team change. He could not have been more rude and unprofessional. He gave me a lecture on my parenting skills and even hung up the phone on me. I guess the lesson is, this league is positve if you have a good coach, but if you don't, they really don't want to hear from you (even though their published Parent Manual states differently). Cons: No restrooms at fields. Complaints not welcomed by organization. more
