Best Sushi I Have Found in Salem or Portland 2/15/2008

This place is great. Their sushi melts in the mouth and it has always been fresh. Prices are very reasonable. I have gone many times and always come away delighted. It is family run, and everyone smiles. It is not overly fancy, but clean and pleasantly decorated. I've tried 6 or 7 sushi restaurants in Salem and Portland, but this is the one I return to again and again. My favorite is their Spider roll. You might need reservations for large groups on their busiest nights, but generally there is no wait. Pros: Great Sushi, Nice Family Run Place, Inexpensive Cons: Cons??? more

Good food, Good Service, Nice Family Place 2/15/2008

I saw the last review and could not leave it at that. My family make it a point of trying every sushi place we live near or travel by -- we love sushi. This is one of our favorite places in the Portland/Salem area. The service is very nice and friendly. We have a large family and there are booths that accommodate large groups(8+). The food has always been wonderful. They have a Tonkatsu that brings me back to the period of time I lived in Japan. The sushi has always been fresh and they have a couple of house specials that are worth trying. I always look forward to being in Salem to stop by. Try it, you'll like it. Not Bad, Not Great 12/8/2004

If it wasn't for the lack of sushi in Salem, places like this wouldn't be considered ""good."" Unfortunately for the rest of the residents, there isn't much of a choice. Avoid this place like the plague and unless you enjoy throwing money for no apparent reason, then make Fuji your sushi destination. Pros: Service, Drinks Cons: , Food more
