Where's Fugaise? 1/23/2006

Its in the heart of North East. If you cant find it you are not looking. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The front of house staff GREAT! And the food? Well its the best food in the twin cities. I Am a big Fan and hope that if you haven't tried it yet that you make plans to do so. more

User review by ogbobbyjohnson 1/22/2006

i took my wife here for dinner on the suggestion of a friend. wasn't sure what to expect, but i was very VERY pleased with everything---primarily the food. i must admit that i'm not the most experienced fine diner, most people would consider me a picky eater. but i must say that i was blown away by the food. the squash soup was amazing as was the duck ravioli--and that was just to start things off. our main courses were great; my wife had the scallops and i had the tenderloin and potatoes. the chef here definitely knows what he's doing. There's some nice artwork and atmosphere, but honestly it was the food that will keep us going back. Pros: Excellent Food, Friendly service, Excellent Food! more

Unusual space but great food 11/22/2005

We went to check it out after reading the Strib review. The atmosphere is unusual, but pleasant. Waitstaff just perfect - really knew menu and wines. Many inexpensive wine choices (compared to most fine dining places). Had the tenderloin - best ever. Wife had trout and really liked it. Chef himself came out to table. Very impressive overall. Pros: chef, service, food more

Great place 10/25/2005

There's something about a chef-owned restaurant. The place is really intimate, you feel like you're dining with friends. Casual but really high-class. Food is great, everything perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Pros: food presentation, uniqueness, service more

Great wine list 10/25/2005

Very classy, having only Old World wines on menu. Wait staff knew their stuff, as pairings recommended were perfect. Will come back. Pros: wine list, waitstaff, good food more

great personal service unique atmosphere 10/21/2005

Compared to most expensive French food, you get bigger portions - nice surprise! Waitstaff top-notch. Atmosphere elegant, but friendly. Everything cooked to perfection. Chef seems very classic... Pros: service, food, atmosphere more

A Wonderful Dinning Experience 10/18/2005

This is a lovely little restaurant, knowledgeable staff, excellent food. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner. The food was fabulous, presentation was beautiful and portions were generous. The wine selected to go with the meal was just the right compliment. A bit expensive however a wonderful place to go on a date with your significant other or a couples night out. Romantic with a contemporary feel. more

Small, intimate, friendly, elegant, great food 10/16/2005

Small, elegant, but not stuffy (you can wear jeans or dress up). Great food - largish portions so great value, even though fairly expensive. Very knowledgable and friendly staff, great wine list (1/2 the bottles under $30, but NICE selection). Order the scallops with black risotto if they're still on the menu (changes frequently). Ribeye with red currant sauce absolutely to DIE for! We'll return many times! Hint: park in ramp on University Pros: skilled waitstaff, elegant, great food Cons: none! more
